If you can ignore the fact the Michael Jackson music in Sonic 3 was replaced these seemed like pretty good versions of these games. Widescreen support, remastered sprites, some bug fixes and the special stages of all these games with improved framerates (omg you gotta see how smooth Sonic 2's are). You can choose to play them in Classic Mode which is pretty much how they were originally presented or the Anniversary Mode where you have infinite lives and collect Coins to use in the museum to unlock music, artwork and movies. There's also a story mode where you can play all the games in order as one big game with animated cutscenes added in to link each game Then there's also Mission mode, Boss Rush and Mirror Mode if you're into those The platinum is actually super simple as you don't even need to really do anything in the games themselves other than beat them. No getting all the emeralds or good endings or anything like that. You also have to get at least 10 S-Ranks in each games mission modes but those are relatively easy too and very forgiving. Other than that you'll unlock all the other trophies just unlocking things in the museum and poking your head into every mode at least once. If you're so inclined you can use the cheat menus in the games too and that doesn't affect trophies at all. Sadly I was a dummy and forgot to start on the PS4 version so I can't just do a quick trophy transfer to the PS5 for another platinum. Gonna have to do it all over again if I want that.
