Not a runner, that one

Not just Vader but so many other characters CAN FREAKING FLY!!! Vader could move faster than people can freaking run using the force if he wanted (he has a few times).

But spoilers for Doctor Strange and the multiverse (or army of darkness as I call it).

Freaking Scarlet Witch hurts her leg and stumbles after the heroes in the movie....slowly....so they (even injured) can stay ahead of her....except....SHE FREAKING FLIES ALL THE TIME and could easily have flown after them faster than they could move....and that is just the most recent example.

All these villians who can move super fast most of the time, lost that ability as soon as they are chasing the heroes, it's so freaking dumb.

He and Jason Vorhees both signed no-running contracts

In Fortnite Vader can sprint

I remember in the original battlefront game Vader had a charging slash attack that was super fast and had great range. People would spam it all the time while playing him.

that wasn't "the Scarlet Witch" though, that was Wanda Maximoff mother of 2 being mind controlled by the Scarlet Witch we know.
so we don't know how many of the Scarlet Witch powers she has access to.
and injuries can limit mobility even if it's not a directly related limb.
i find it pretty difficult to run with a broken arm, and who knows how much strain flight would put on her body(i'd say her stiff movement in flight shows she's under some full body strain)

how else do you think she got to the base

flying is easier than running depending on shoes

Not only that but she's bustin through walls/solid doors etc along the way....but can't muster the power to just fly after em so they don't get away/through more doors which must take significantly more power/effort to break than just flying.

Honestly I think the "shambling" scene was meant for evil dead 4, and they just put SW into that role even though it didn't make sense (Was supposed to be some undead or something). Her character HAS RANGED ATTACKS for instance, she didn't need to freaking catch up with them in the first place, she could fly, etc etc....it didn't make sense for the people involved at all.

Almost feel like they took DR strange and the marvel universe and fit it into a script they had for the next evil dead movie and hoped nobody would notice.

Oh yeah, real sneaky of Marvel to hire Sam Raimi to make a movie and somehow wind up with a Sam Raimi movie on their hands. Surely nobody would notice that an actual director with a noticeable style made the movie instead of whatever hive of drones they get to churn out the Spider-man movies.

I mean, I didn't see who the director was before watching the movie. Then I was watching it and I was like hold on, is that the necronomicon? Then a few minutes later there is a hot dog salesman that looks just like an older/pudgier Bruce Cambel/Ash....oh wait...he is older and pudgier...that is him. Then you have undead main character (or possessed undead main character) and spirits that come after you because you broke rules etc, it just kept getting deeper and deep to the point you stopped seeing a marvel movie, and started feeling groovy (give me some sugar baby!!).

Seriously the big bad, SW, was more like the undead female zombie char in Evil dead then anything else, and didn't even really make any sense in a straight up conversion of the character. DS even basically was like "you bitch, you could just help me train this chick and she can send you to a dimension where your kids lost their mom, but she was like, nope, they might get sick, I want her power.

That makes no sense at all, especially since she basically implied she was going to kill her alternative self to take her place lols.

They just took the marvel chars and altered them in a way that made them fit into evil dead 4, and sometimes (like when she was chasing em through the tunners, not flying, stumbling like a zombie etc) it didn't even really fit/make sense.

Actually kinda amazing that it worked at all if you look at it that way. MAAAAYBE Sam Raimi just added his own artistic license to the film and did so to such an extent that it looks like an evil dead film, but honestly I think he just basically took what he wanted to do in ED4 and incorporated it into this movie.

I'm sure he took as many liberties as he could. Marvel is infamously tight-fisted about their franchises but the Bruce Campbell cameo is 100% entirely because Sam Raimi throws him at least that much every time he makes a movie.

He can kind of power walk. He doesn't really move that slow.

I almost think "no running" should be retconned out because his movement is otherwise completely unencumbered. We see in Kenobi that he can dodge out of the way of lightsaber strikes fairly easily even (I love that scene because it's hilarious).

It doesn't really make sense that he can do everything except run. But people wouldn't like how it looks so hes not allowed to do it. I have trouble imagining a running Vader.

IMO it's far more menacing for a villain to saunter after the protagonists; they can run, but they can't hide (unless they are running from Scary Terry of course)
