Over the past 5 months, Board 8 has voted on every known pokemon in existence, and the conclusion we can now come to is that Game Freak nailed it with #001 and has never improved upon it since!

Heracross put up a respectable number but it was no match for the mighty Bulbasaur, who now reigns as the board's favourite pokemon. Bulba has walked through pretty much the whole contest, its toughest matchup being against Espeon (who lost to Haunter for third) but never facing controversy or a real nailbiter. Often overlooked in favour of its fellow gen 1 starters, now is Bulbasaur's time to shine!

Bulbasaur might be my favorite Pokmon who had a reasonable chance to win this so pretty good winner. I have no complaints.

I don't hate that winner

Haunter won a couple of big Pokemon contests in the past, not a fan of Espeon. Like Heracross. Bulbasaur is fine.

The only way this result could have been better is if Ivysaur was the other finalist.

There were some better Pokes in the set of poll champions, but Bulbasaur was my first starter and seeing them not only beat the other two (who are admittedly great as well) but take it home feels good

I dont dislike Bulbasaur, but Im not sure its even in my top third of Pokmon.

Good result. I was sure momentum was gonna carry Heracross to the end after it beat Snorlax and then Haunter.

Dislike the fact that Mimikyu is top 10 more than Bulbasaur winning.

I have no idea how this ended up being the result, but I'm very happy.

Bulbasaur is my no. 1 favorite Pokemon. I didn't even use one in the games, but I don't think anything quite descripts Pocket Monster for me as much as Bulbasaur does. While I do like Squirtle a lot and Charmander is aight, Bulbasaur just sells what Pokemon is so much more than any Pokemon, including the paths of evolution.

I have a large stuffed Bulbasaur that I won at a fair in first grade. He got some beer spilled on him when people at college parties at my house learned that his bulb was the perfect shape for holding beer bottles, but he's still my boy.

Bulba is decent, not close to my top pokemon, but still very decent.

Also, thanks for running the topic series, Andy! It was a ton of fun even though I got too lazy to do full rankings after a while.

Heracross is my #17th favourite Pokemon overall, so naturally I'm a little disappointed. But, there's a large amount of worse Pokemon to lose to!
