I always feel like there's loads of weird little games I've been meaning to check on, but can't remember any of them. And then when the sale ends, I'll think "Of course, I wanted to see if [insert game here] was cheap!"

I'd recommend Lost Dimension for $6.24 as its copyright is up next year, I believe.

The PS3/Vita versions were removed from PSN recently for that same reason.

Never heard of this one before, but it does look intriguing. I'm a big fan of deception games like The Resistance, and this looks like it takes a lot from that (although I suppose Among Us would be the modern reference point).

As for other games, how's 428: Shibuya Scramble if I prefer my VNs to have a decent puzzle element (like Zero Escape, Danganronpa or Ace Attorney)? I know you have to keep switching characters and getting them to unblock eachothers' paths, but is it logical "Person A's problem could be overcome if Persona B did that action" or more "Try options and see what happens, one of them will work"?

Lost Dimension is very neat on the tactical RPG front, but the deception part as you put it is just underdeveloped RNG fluff, so I wouldn't buy it for that.

Kind of mostly the latter from what I recall. "Oh man, by making this character take a phone call they go out on the street and happen to bump into this other person who drops something now..." or whatever. You can't really know. Sometimes you can, but I wouldn't really say puzzle in that way.

Still very good though!

It's more the first than the second, but it's some of both. Very good game!

Mm, yeah, I might've misinterpreted what you were saying. It doesn't have complex decisions like an older adventure game - it's a bit more simple than that.

I guess this would be a good place to ask (or maybe warrants a topic but will see on the replies I get)

I'm looking for games to play on my Steam Deck and I think I feel like playing something along the lines of a Roguelike / Management Simulation / Strategy. Ideally something turn-based. And I tend to like games that track stats (in-depth) and are like hero builders (or world builders than keep track of individuals which I guess Crusader Kings does?), especially if they have customization.

I recently picked up Wildermyth which may meet the criteria I'm looking for. But I also bought Stellaris and Fell Seal: Arbiter's Mark too as they looked interesting. I really liked Darkest Dungeon and then games like Brigandine, FFT, Azure Dreams in the past.

Stellaris is grand strategy. If you like CK, maybe you'll like it. It's too much for me. I didn't get past learning what the menus do.

Wildermyth is basically a progression of tabletop D&D battles. There's a world map where you make some strategic decisions, I guess, and then the story interludes where funky stuff might happen, which is where the rogue-like part comes in, but it doesn't sound like what you're describing.

Fell Seal is literally just Final Fantasy Tactics, if you sanded off the rough edges.

Wildermyth is really great

its not quite the same, but Im playing Griftlands right now and it sort of scratches a similar itch of feeling like youre having a unique narrative experience in a roguelike type situation. I
