One of the first girls I dated had been with 20 or so men prior to me. I had only been with one other girl at the time iirc. While we talked about it, she got very self-conscious and started crying because she felt bad about sleeping with as many guys as she did. I had to comfort her about it. It mattered to her more than it did to me.

Tbh, I dont know the actually the number Its high, but that because I became really promiscuous for a few years. New partners every week (with some that definitely returned) I dont even always remember all of them Sometimes, Ill just remember another person I hooked up with once Its kind of bad, but it was full while it lasted

No cos i cant keep up with high sex drives. I never realized how women vary in terms of it until i got more experience. One chick i was with would be cool once a week while another was like every other day.

A high body count doesn't bother me despite having none myself so I'd certainly have a relationship with someone who has that. All I require is they are clean and faithful. One night things don't interest me and I'm not all that interested in others peoples exs unless it would be important information to the relationship I'd be involved in.

How come its easier? Wouldnt that mean men are more willing to give into sexual relations to woman than woman giving into sexual relations with a man?

One of the things to keep in mind when fitting this together is that with the society we have, on average having sex with someone you don't know very well, or meeting them in ways that may or may not lead to sex, is significantly safer for straight men than it is for straight women. Thus, straight men are more willing on average to engage in these activities, not because of something to do with anyone's difference in sex drive, but due to a difference in the calculation of risk.

I have the exact opposite experience, none of my friends including myself ever talk about sex or even relationships in general, I find it something that should be very private. Meanwhile most women I've ever known are never heisatant to talk about sexual encounters in great detail to the point of making me severely uncomfortable and violating my boundries by refusing to spare the details.

it's crazy men have this streotype of being sex freaks but I feel it's far from the truth. Although that's not to say some men aren't obsessed in private.

Also to answer the topic question I think a high number of sexual partners correlates to a lack of commitment, for both men and women, especially if they like to hook up with random strangers, that's a big yikes in my book.

I Googled it and the average seems to be around 14 for men give or take. But, who knows how accurate that is.

It was some study. I don't remember the specifics but it was done across different countries and age groups. My only take away was that 14 seemed about average for someone around my age (33).

i don't think i'd care initially, though based on personal experience i'd be kind of weary that it might be a sign of mental illness so i'd probably be on the lookout for red flags more than usual.
