I am okay with upfront cost as well as if the mtx is just paying to get rid of the ads. Honestly I hate my life so much that I'm open to anything to get my mind off of things.

Simpsons Tapped Out is perfectly playable without paying.

Depending on what kind of games you want, I can recommend some. They may have MTX, but nothing you have to buy to enjoy the game I think most games I play have MTX. But they arent needed

What are they? I am open to most games.

I don't play too many mobile games at all. My favorite is Candies n' Curses, a really fun and charming action game with some roguelite mechanics. There are some MTX, but besides costumes it's stuff you'd unlock through regular play.

Heart Star is a cute little puzzle platformer where you have to get both characters to the goal, but each character can only interact with objects of their respective color.

No such thing as a good mobile game.

Card city nights

Dead Space (mobile) is a prequel to Dead Space 2 that might be worth a look. The original game was discontinued and removed from stores rather than updating it, but fans did the work if you want to play it.

Monument Valley games are pretty good

BuriedBornes has mtx but I've never paid a penny into it and find it very enjoyable as-is

Pixel Starships is playable without spending a cent- just wait for your ship to fix itself after a battle. See, it tells you to get good by taking as little damage as possible, because it takes like half an hour for your ship to go from 0 to full on like a level 8 capital ship. You can skip travel time on the map if its under 5 minutes. And room upgrades take time, thats the worst part, so I upgrade my stuff when my ships too damaged to battle.

Idle Slayer

Its an active idle game, you can purchases to speed things up, or just let it run in the background. And purchases are definitely not needed, as you still make decent progress without buying.
