I'm still not convinced that Plum is scum. I don't really agree with the attacks on them because I don't necessarily belive his behaviour is scum behaviour, it comes across more as just anti-town behaviour, and the attacks all feel cyclical on him. Its like people are using each others attacks to feel justified in their own attacks and then people are using the other attacks to justify their own attacks.

I think you're reading too into it. My interpretation of those posts were, "Between Han and Plum, Plum definitely looks worse. But I'll play devil's advocate a bit just to make sure Plum isn't actually town."
... Which Plum never addressed. So uh... that's another point against Plum. But that's just how Ben plays.

... Wait, I just remembered. Ben never confirmed me as Town! Maybe he is Scum this game, that dastard! >:(

But I mean, I am a little uneasy about Plum being too simple of an answer... but as far as Day 1 candidates go, he's probably the safest lynch. If he ends up claiming without a counter, though, I'm not sure who would be the next best option. I think I saw Red as another lynch option if Plum flips Scum? Probably just Han mentioning it, but nothing about Red has brushed me wrong so far.

Speaking of Red, though...

I... think there's a misunderstanding? My point is that:

* IGCD thinks Lea's act of claiming was anti-town because it could potentially be useful against scum (but now that they know about her role, they're obviously going to leave her alone)
* changmas argues that Lea's claim was pro-town since otherwise it would have looked bad if a townie tried to scan Lea but got blocked
* IGCD counters by saying that, because of her claim, a town power role would feel inclined to test her claim and thus waste their scan on her instead of someone else
* MZero responds that scum wasting their scan on Lea isn't as significant as multiple town power roles scanning Lea, each of them getting blocked, but unable to say anything because they don't want to reveal their power (whereas the scum team shares info with one another)
* I say that I agree with MZero and that it's not worth scanning Lea tonight when there are better options. We can suspect Lea for her claim, but I don't think there's any sense in acting on those suspicions until later in the game. If Lea has generally been town-like, then it's likely she was telling the truth. If she's been doing nothing or otherwise being anti-town, we have reason to suspect that her Invisible claim was just a hoax to avoid getting mislynched.
Let's focus on confirming other townies first, and then later in the game, if we think Lea isn't behaving like a townie, then we can invest a scan. Right now, Lea is not a high priority imo

Wouldn't someone who hasn't played in a while be the most obvious person to press early? Letting them get the rust off lets them be more assured as scum

I like Kirby. I can tell he is thinking through his thoughts. This also points at Red's vote on Kirby having strange timing. It seems like his vote on Kirby is almost an after thought

Why exactly is it Town anti-town behaviour, and not Scum anti-town behaviour?

Also, who're you interested in targeting today if not Plum?

I dont think Plum is the kind of antitown stubborn that, for example, Red would exemplify.

And I see Tidus finally replied.
I sorta expected an answer like that, but again I dont think I was really hunting there so much as responding to other players points.

You want to use the newer/havent played in awhile players as tools to read other players. BCT's opinions on others are more important than pushing him like a madman.

Yes, because in that post, he says that he went to the previous game in to see if kirby's posts this time are like the ones in the previous game, indicating the effort to determine kirby's alignment

I was kinda hoping he'd say no and look for something else, because that was pretty much a nothing post from Death. I do kinda dig the confidence though.

Although the subsequent reads post kinda makes me want to batter my face into something. I think my favourite part is the neutral area where the entire game resides as well as Han and Kirby but separately from the other ten people in the exact same zone for whatever reason.

Han and Kirby are just more neutral than everyone else!

I love this response. I am always in favor of lynching Ben Day 1 just for the memes lmao

But nah, I don't think this is the same scum Ben from last game. Could've been Chrisfear last game, but Ben struck me as more "chummy" or willing to buddy up to people rather than go on the offensive/be so assertive. He's definitely more of the latter this game.

Nonetheless, I feel good about this response from Tidus. I don't know how scum Tidus plays, but I feel like throwing out an opinion like this (even if it's about Ben) is a bold move that a cautious scum wouldn't really take.

What on Earth are you talking about? It's not difficult to Ctrl + F through Tidus's posts and see he did more than just that.

Sure, it might not be a whole lot of content or huge walls or such. That's just Tidus's posting style, but it's not like he's posting fluff (though I personally think saying stuff like "I agree" isn't fluffy unless there's no supporting reasons behind it).

DYL literally only had three posts by the time I voted for him (technically four, but I didn't see the fourth one while drafting my messages). Tidus may not have that many more points, but pinning it on inactivity because he wanted to play games is horrid reasoning. I hope I wouldn't have to stop playing Final Fantasy XIV just because I signed up for mafia!

If you don't like his content, that's fair. But this argument of him being busy playing games is frivolous. It's grasping at straws and frankly gives me the same uneasy vibes I had about you last game on Day 1. Though I'd still like to believe your claim about (hopefully Town) Invisible being true.

An incredibly rare town read coming from Plum. And I think he is just USING Kirby in this post to go after Red, who started to gain some suspicion as a counter lynch at this time.

Plum says here that Kirby being town points to Red having a suspicious vote on Kirby. I can tell Red was his target and having to say he town reads Kirby was the price.
