if a guy charges at you and throws a bag at you and you have no idea who that person is and a mob is forming which is already riled up and angry, you're supposed to not use the weapon you have on you to defend yourself

To recap on Kyle in my own head, he went to a BLM protest in another state armed with some big gun with the intent to "keep the peace", got into a spat, and ended up shooting like 5 people who thought he was a spree shooter, immediately doing the opposite of what he set out to do.

Is constantly made the center of politics but has no real solid political opinions. I don't know I find him kind of uninteresting tbh. He just seems like a dumb kid who made dumb choices. I feel like the main takeaway is "what not to do at a rowdy protest", but people keep painting him like he's a blank canvass.

Wth, I looked at Texas A & M as a possible school for online, but I decided to go back to my brick and mortar university in my local area. Online just isn't for me, some of the graded material is kind of tricky and there are barely any extra credit or other avenues of work like presentations that can possibly boost your grade. Plus I worked full time, but now I can work part time while going to school in the fall and rest of the semesters.

Eh, it probably smarter going to community first. Who wants to pay a ton to learn fricken english, math & history again, I mean you already had 12 years of that stuff already. You pretty much have two throw away years at Uni relearning the basic bitch stuff before you can learn the cool stuff. Plus community is piss easy, so your GPA gets slightly inflated going into Uni.

Honestly his mom should be sued for taking him there in the first place. He may have gotten off on a technicality because of some janky wording in the law that they decided allowed him to be in legal possession of the rifle in question (which I still think was bullshit, as the intent of the law was clearly so minors could hunt with a parent or guardian present, not show up to protests to stir up shit), but had she not driven her armed, minor child to a dangerous, tense situation, none of this would have happened and he'd just be the short dork that sucker punches girls on video that no one ever heard of. So not only is she ultimately responsible for the deaths that night, she's responsible for kind of fucking up her kid's life. Can't see how having such conviction is 'fucking up' someone's life. Kyle went down there to protect was he believed to be important to himself, family, and friends; relatively simple concept.
