Today Atlus released a new trailer and showcased a lot of gameplay of the upcoming JRPG Soul Hackers 2.

The trailer is in Japanese but includes English subtitles. That being said, you may have to activate them manually with the CC button. It provides another look at the characters and story.

The gameplay focuses on a mission provided by Madame Ginko, on top of a lot of additional activities like shopping, demon fusion, and more. The version showcased is the PS5 version and its all in Japanese.

We also hear about the DLC that we can expect. The announced packages are as follows:

An additional scenario with new characters titled Lost Numbers.
Additional Costumes and BGM.
Additional Demons.
Money, Incense, & Experience
A Soul Hackers 2 DLC all-in-one bundle including all of the above.

More DLC will come, but will be announced at a later time.

since Keighley said to keep exptecations in check and that most of the trailers are going to be for already announced games all I'm really looking forward to of something not technically announced are console ports of the Final Fantasy Pixel Remasters. Sweeten the deal by making FF1-3 available today and have 4-6 do the same release schedule they had on Steam

oh yeah i was welcoming any actual solo topics for these to be clear i just wanted this topic to be used to keep track of everything

Assuming no Nintendo Direct, the one thing I am hyped for is the Capcom thing

checked out a few of the ones so far briefly with the aforementioned friend now

netease was a solid D- (only reason it doesn't get an F is because I liked the trailer to that Clover Theater game in the japanese version. same developer that published warship girls (the og kancolle clone) in japan which i thought was neat, been a fan of them since they also tried making their own separate kancolle clone that was kinda ok actually (it was very unpopular and died out quickly though))

finally finished off day 2 of indie live expo >_>. somehow i've gotten fully acclimatized to the english announcers now, was laughing more than i reasonably should've tbh

how is the announcer for the gundam showcase a real person. BO2 still the best gundam

rewatched the pokemon, the maybe co-op aspects are neat to think about

also rewatched state of play, catgame best game

i didn't think the sega stream would really just be about the mega drive mini but i guess it really was huh

the acquire game show was worse than i thought it'd be tbh, i thought i remembered it being more eventful in a prior year but i guess that might've been a different event that also had that one vtuber in it idk

dangen showcase was kinda bad, very dull presentation, didn't really care about anything i didn't already have tbh. i guess vestaria saga 2 is neat but that's about it (and i already had that on my wishlist anyway so lol)

oh yeah and we didn't have time for limited run yet but we did check the koei one lol

limited run showcase was very fun, mega64 truly nailed the aesthetic and the actual game lineup couldn't have complemented it any better. keen for blade runner

BVIG was alright, games themselves were pretty poor but it was good to see this small indie initiative having developed out of what they started with. this is basically a BLM indie equivalent of the asobu doujin/indie initiative in japan with how they approach the promotion of indie developers through monthly interview streams (combined of course with financial support), iirc given who runs it i'm sure it's not a coincidence either. The one unfortunate thing is that i don't think mass audiences are really ready for this kind of format, much as I want this kind of thing to supersede E3

uploadvr was fine, this feels like even more of a "vr cult-only" kind of thing than the one from last e3, can't believe how much of that was presented as though they assumed that all the viewers would already be familiar with it everything there. also i really don't want to be that kind of guy who is only interested in seeing more familiar things, but among us vr actually looked kind of ok which surprised me

hopefully will catch up tomorrow (later today, after sleep). friend was only free super late in the evening today so progress was unfortunately limited

Wholesome Direct was good, but jeez there were a lot of games and many with similar game mechanics. The indie game market feels a little saturated at the moment.

yeah I watched that one last year and it was like.... oh huh, a third game about a witch who likes to farm or whatever. Ok.

it mostly seemed like stuff I would theoretically enjoy, but there was so dang much of it and it just sort of blended together

So I heard a really interesting theory that the Direct might have the premiere of the Mario Movie trailer in it, which is why they're waiting for just before The Rise of Gru comes out since that's the film that's most likely going to carry the trailer in theaters.

Could be a random rumor, but it makes a bit of corporate/marketing logic to me.
