At long last, welcome back to FWA! It has been so long that I am not actually sure 5 is the correct number, but at any rate Fantasy Wrestling Association involves drafting a wrestling fed and (optionally) running it in a giant TEW multiplayer game afterwards.

We will be using the 1006-verse mod once it is complete! That means our target start date is July 1. We'd like to get through multiple rounds of drafting per day, you are welcome to PM lists to me or a trusted representative if you're going to be AFK a bit. You are highly encouraged to at least get the free TEW 2020 demo so you can poke around the mod, and you'll need the full version if you want to participate in the multiplayer game. Other than that, all you need is an interest and some time commitment! You don't even need to know a ton about wrestling, as actual IRL pro wrestling is only about 1/8 of this mod. There's a ton of anime, video game, and other characters in here. This sheet is about 98% accurate,

I want to spend June getting signups and discussing rules, mechanics, and other finer points. I'm thinking that we have an even playing field of players and non-players in regards both to drafting and the in-game feds. (last time we gave non-players smaller feds and a handicap in drafting) I'm thinking that mystery boxes will return (random bonuses that you get at set points as well as being able to spend picks to get more) but will only have options that are related to yourself, don't affect the actual drafting, and are not strictly negative.

Stuff we can argue about ahead of time:
-Are we good with everybody getting Big feds, all Written Exclusive contracts, and the same drafting privileges?
-Are we good with Mystery Boxes as I've described them? Got any ideas?
-Are we good with me throwing a few smaller feds into the game as well?
-Are we good with workers getting all languages and full availability?

Anyway, please go ahead and sign up or ask questions or yell at me! Somebody always gets upset at some point it seems >_>

...Not gonna be able to afford the full game, I think, unless somethin' manages to come up, but still signin' up. At the very least I'll be able to get the draft in.

How do y'all feel about percentage based increases vs. flat? (from mystery boxes) I think we've done it both ways but I'm leaning flat.

Flat is probably the wiser choice?

Here is the sheet I plan to use to track the draft! Of note NOW is that on on the second page is my draft of the MYSTERY BOX list. Please look that over and give feedback! I think every time we've done this I've made the list ahead of time and then somebody waits until they get screwed over to get upset about the balancing. I did try to make them tamer and nicer and less political.

-I plan to give everybody 1 free broadcasting deal each for TV and Events with more or less default settings.
-I think boxes will all resolve after the draft just to cut down on timing weirdness.

Rubber bones just sounds like something Luffy has by default.

Oh right the more important question (from the other topic) is how we feel about Discord vs. Board for the actual drafting. We might pick up some people like Semi that aren't on the actual board much and it may (or may not?) be easier to track and organize stuff. (Still planning on heavily using the google sheet I linked, though) If we DO use Discord, does anybody have experience setting up or running one? Better yet, is there a bot we could use to track draft lists for AFK people?

I have set up a server before but I have never added a bot or know of one that does what we want it to do.

I've never intentionally opened a server and am not sure how to do so on purpose. Could just use DMs and pin lists made in those, or make separate threads for each list. ...no effective way to make said lists private for people that wanted those to *be* private/though.

You can make the threads private per person with the exception of the mod

I was thinking private channel for each person if we couldn't figure out a way to cut me out of the equation; would also be useful for setup type things after the draft proper

Server owner is able to see every channel but can specify channels per person. So essentially, whoever makes the server would be on the justice system. So this would very much work. Threads can only be made private to Nitro users, wa.

I was originally planning on doing a touring company but I can change that for the multi-player game.

We'll probably start Jul 3 actually- forgot I have an online class that bleeds into July

added two boxes: one to un-randomize a random box, and one to give you a dojo or performance center

I'm much better (still an occasional cough and infrequent sore throat) but yeah just really bad timing. Would have preferred to draft for sure. I may still check out the Discord at some point.

Heck I don't want to put words in people's mouths and IDK if it'd appeal, but I bet if you asked nicely, somebody would rather watch you butcher their fed concept than the AI

So to be a disappointment it looks like I don't actually own TEW2019

I guess all I did with it was tweak mods which only required the demo version.

At the moment I can't really justify buying it. Sorry. I might play with the mod in a few months.
