It says basically he has 4 chapters (or chapter manuscripts) left to do. Whether theres still only 10 chapters before a break again isnt certain. It didn't help that he was pushed hard to keep thr story going after he'd already grown bored of it and the schedule he worked was grueling. After Eichiro Oda's health began declining Jump's editorial staff started forcing mangaka to take breaks / go on hiatuses to preserve their health. So hopefully we don't have a situation like Togashi ever again. Currently, Togashi has a pretty nice deal with Jump that they basically won't ever cancel hunter x hunter no matter how long he takes between chapters. --- Others don't get to dictate what's normal and what isn't. Its even more generic and a little less dark but somehow Ive enjoyed it a lot, so that helped me to realize that you dont need to reinvent the wheel to make something entertaining. Chimera arc also introduce so many characters but this boat saga thing has had like 3 good characters out of 30+ stinkers. Compared that to at least 16+ new characters in Chimera arc each has its own unique quirks in the story like moral, palm,shoot,knuckle,hagya, merely, and so on and so on. Meanwhile in the boat saga Why introduced a bucket list of bland uninteresting characters that turned out to be fodder. I couldn't find any character that I should anchor myself too since most of them are just unlikeable and has little to no charisma except the guy who has the collection of Kurt eye. "Generic" implies that it is copying something as opposed to being a trend-setter/original. And yeah, Dai is late 80's (though more early 90's). Though where Dai was generic back then HxH was unique, hence why it was such a landmark title at the time.
