I've heard plenty of music from all sorts of batshit insane, off the wall genres. when I used to listen in the car, I'd pick a couple bands and just toss them on. they did nothing for me aside from fill an empty car. I've listened to albums from different genres. it's just boring at worst, annoying at best people assume I haven't tried, that I haven't "found the right music" then when I tell them that isn't the issue, they insult me. more than once I've had people tell me, to my face, I am inhuman for not feeling anything while listening to a song I literally can't bond over something everyone can bond over, and brother that is profoundly alienating.
