Hmmm if Cold Steel 1 got about an 8 I'm going to say

Cold Steel 2: 6/10
Cold Steel 1: 8.5/10

Since I don't believe I rated 1.

Cold Steel 2 is a very inconsistent story. There are some absolutely killer moments in it but the vast majority of the game is a padding filled slog and some of the moments that SHOULD be better are hampered by its own writing relying too heavily on repetitive tropes. Which is a problem for Trails as a whole really but its definitely at its worst in CS2.

Generally passable but there's a lot of things that don't need to be there. I do quite like the first 10 hours or so, as well as the intermission section on the Pantagruel and the ending of the main story.
