So I live in a condo and theres a whole back area with grass and a public walkway where kids play. The other day I heard someone yelling at the kids playing, a bunch of girls ages 2-6. The person yelling at them was doing so hidden, behind the blinds of his window. As I walked over they shut up. My daughter told me that he called them a jackass. All because they were playing near the walkway, which he designated as his. I was upset because these are little girls. Who calls a little girl a jackass for merely playing in the vicinity? If there is an issue then address the parents. And I would understand his frustration if they were throwing rocks or sticks at his door or window or something of the like but they are the sweetest little kids, not just mine but the other little kids too.

I asked my daughter to point him out next time she saw him, and she did. Tall guy with a severe limp in both legs.

The next time they were out I noticed he began to yell at them again, this time his head sticking out the window. I say, Hey! Thats a public walkway. He goes, Dont you start shit with me, Ive been here 20yrs! I said, You been here 20yrs? Kill me if I make it past 7yrs at this dump.(Condo living looked good on paper but not in practice Im finding). He then rambles about trying to sleep WHICH, having worked the graveyard shift in my teens, I would understand. And if he had addressed the parents, we would have done anything we could to help him out. But he didnt do that. He yelled and cursed at little girls.

So then I go, Well, I dont want any problems with you. Youre obviously gang affiliated. He said, I aint in no gang. I reply with, Well, you look like a crip to me. And his face was priceless. You saw his brain just malfunction, and trying to come up with a response. And that was it.

My wife told me he was staring at her menacingly, and found it humorous. I said I dont want the children playing outside unless Im around. Way I see it is if he is willing to get that hostile with children, God only knows what else hes capable of.

You whine a lot.

I would probably agree in some cases but in others tell my hypothetical kids to keep away from the guy. I certainly won't be having a yelling match or worse and setting a bad example for my kids.

Yeah, it sounds like he has some medical problems and they're interfering with his sleep, which was aggravating his temper. His behavior was bad. Yours was worse. You could have made the situation better and you chose not to.

All I can say is he sounds like a creepy, angry old dude and I'd be careful with the kids around him.

Theres an old black dude that lives in the apartments behind me that is always yelling crazy shit. Lots of racist outbursts and cursing but his laugh is comical.

If they're actually my daughter they probably are a jackass. Apple falling from the tree and all.
