Yeah. No side effects. Not sure it's helped all that much tho.

1mg, bit over a year. Been using minoxidil as well but not as consistently which is probably the issue.

been taking it since feb 2021. it lowered my libido which i don't mind tbh

Would just minoxidil be effective at all? I don't really want to go on finasteride. I take enough medication for other shit.

Tried 1mg, 0.5mg, 0.25mg EOD, got all the side effects. Only difference was how long it took to show up. So switched to a different product years ago.

If you respond well it can buy a few more years. But it's like throwing fertilizer on a plant that's infested with bugs that are mowing it to the ground. Finasteride is the pesticide.

Not anymore, sadly.

I thought about it but I dont have health care.

Im 31 and my hair is thinner then normal but not so much that I am worried. Other measures seem to work fine

Seemed to at best slow down the balding process. No real success with it.

Was never on the market. It's a daily topical that blocks testosterone receptors in the scalp. 7 years, no sides yet that I can tell.

Fortunately, the side effects always went away within 2 weeks of stopping. Which is what emboldened me to keep going back to the well at different doses lol

Would you be comfortable sharing the name of the solution you're using? I follow someone who has done dozens of treatments.

I've looked into tropical androgen blockers in general including topical finasteride. supposedly it has a lower side effect profile but I wonder if it's as effective.

That's correct. It's what many dudes had been using for years back in the 2015 forum meta. CB is very similar and actually finishing trials soon.

It's worked for some friends and family. Most have dropped it after a year or so because hair loss doesn't bother them so much and they get tired of applying it. Which according to company notes, was a reason it wasn't pursued for market launch. A pill is more convenient than a messy topical. But now we know that pill flopped from side effects.

I always recommend just trying fin first. Gotta weigh the risks of it yourself tho. I'm sure you've heard the worst by now lol

Been taking it for about a year. Hairline noticeably grew back, with many people commenting on it. Hair feels much thicker too. No major side effects. Still horny af, still lifting heavy in the gym and no side effects that I've seen.

I started it less than a month ago, so I haven't seen any positive effects yet. Though I also haven't noticed any negative side effects.

I think it's the 1mg dosage. I used hims, so whatever their usual prescription is.

Though I'm going to have to switch to my insurance's mail order pharmacy since it isn't covered by insurance, but they offer it for like 1/3 the price online.

I didn't try it and now it's too late

We can't say for sure what the biggest downside is for any of these drugs. They're all sketchy. I wish we had better options.

I experienced everything from fin, even the less reported side effects. No one I know got RU sides and never saw many accounts of them online, but who knows.
