I just heard myriad of unending complain with the game, especially the general position of salt and sanctuary subreddit. Bad bosses design, have to grind to gather material, stupid healing system, just all around a downgrade compared to salt and sanctuary. I haven't played because initially i would just wait until it come out on steam, but ehh hearing about it makes me wanna stay off the game altogether, maybe buy it in a dirt cheap bundle. Shame since sanctuary is pretty fun

Salt and sanctuary is a dope game

I was looking forward to it because I loved the first game

But all that Monster Hunter talk put me off. Im not trying to chase shit around a map like that.

I definitely have not been enjoying it as much as Sanctuary. I feel like they took steps backwards in fun in some of their decisions on this one.

Played like 2-3 hours. The changes are initially annoying. But it's not terrible.

Played the first game and loved it. It was definitely rough around the edges, but it was a small enough project that I was willing to forgive those mistakes. I knew the sequel was in works for a while but it seems like it just hasn't gotten enough advertising support for it to take off. Having a name that people can easily confuse with the first title probably doesn't help.

I've played 7 hours of it and I'm enjoying it, currently in the second area (it's like demon's souls)

Like most complaints on the internet, they are overblown by a very small vocal minority

Like the healing system... whenever you use a flask and die, when you respawn, berries in your inventory are converted into a new flask. You get those berries from trees in the world, monster drops, random satchels on the ground that always respawn, etc.

So people are complaining that if you're struggling against a boss, eventually you'll run out of berries to replenish flasks every life and you'll have to go grind

I died a fuck ton to the electric mage before beating it with attempts that had me using 5 or 6 flasks each time and I still haven't come close to running out of berries to replenish.

People complained at launch about blood vials in bloodborne and I never once had to farm them at all

And the whole chasing mages thing, there's so many more checkpoints this time around vs. Sanctuary that very often, once you force the mage into its boss arena, when you die you will be respawning basically right next to it

Yeah. In the beginning where Im at, those berries are everywhere. Herbs were also more plentiful in the beginning of Demon's Souls too tho. So
