I also bought the dip on CoinBase stock. I started buying when it was at about $96 per share and bought a bit more when it dipped even more. I now own about 4.13 shares of CoinBase:

And if you're betting Coinbase's future, remember that DEXes do everything centralized exchanges do except being a fiat-crypto gateway (for now) and being custodial wallets for the technologically illiterate and irresponsible. I don't know the future but it's worth considering what Coinbase can achieve that DEXes can't do. Also note that the CEO, CFO, and I think a couple other executives sold their shares once the stock was available for trade (or was it the IPO) and put their earnings in BTC.

This is a small pump that will lead to another big drop imo

I'd have to write a short novel to explain why I'm bullish on OMI/VeVe, but when I say I'm bullish, I mean I'm bullish over the next 3-10 years. This is not a pump and dump for me.

But basically I believe in the project, the team, the IPs they have, etc. They just had another AMA discussion today with the VeVe team, and they confirmed they are going to roll out the web platform (to avoid having to pay Google and Apple their cut for the app version), KYC, and MTL (the ability to cash out plus OMI to NFT purchases) by the end of this Q2 (by the end of June of this year).

As for CoinBase, I just viewed it as a bargain when it dropped below $100 per share. Since America sucks ass when it comes to crypto, there's only going to be more and more regulation of exchanges, so CoinBase is a longterm hodl for me as well.

I'm officially at over 3 million OMI. I have an additional 1 million locked up in the web wallet, waiting for OMI staking/OMI utility program/land sales when they launch the VeVe-Verse. So I'm at over 3 million total OMI now. :D

Alright. I know nothing about the project. So I was curious as to what it's about.

Basically, a lot of companies are investing in web 3.0. Web 1.0 was crap like America Online, Geocites, etc. Web 2.0 was stuff like YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, etc. Web 3.0 is supposedly the next evolution of the internet. Some people think web 3.0 and the metaverse are just buzzwords, but you got companies like Disney and Facebook/Meta investing millions if not billions of dollars into this.

Google is also working on version 2.0 of its Google Glass, and Apple is rumored to be working on AR glasses to replace the iPhone as well. It can get quite complex, so if you're really interested, you can check out some videos/articles about web 3.0.

NFTs are just a part of web 3.0. They are not the entirety of web 3.0. No one knows for sure if and when web 3.0 will arrive, but some people are predicting in about 3-10 years.

Also, going back to NFTs, most people who don't know that much about NFTs picture dumb jpegs when they hear "NFT." But NFTs are a lot more than that. It's actually the underlying tech/smart contracts that are a big deal. For example, NFT smart contracts could make real estate agents/brokers obsolete some day:

Instead of buying a house, you could instead by "shares" that house by buying fractionalized NFTs for that house. For example, instead of spending $500k to buy a house, maybe you spend $100k to buy 1/5th of that house's NFTs. You now own 1/5th of that house. Every time whoever lives in that house makes a rent or mortgage payment, you get 1/5th of the profits. Etc. That's just one example of what NFT smart contracts can be used for.

This is all speculative for now, but the underlying tech/smart contracts are what is getting people hyped about NFTs and web 3.0.

I'm need an oracle to transmit the API data to my contract, I use their price feed data to determine the minimum cost of entry, and I plan to integrate their Keepers functionality to automate opening and closing polls and triggering payouts. The best way to learn something is to try it out yourself I suppose, and when you do, holy cow do you see the value in them.

In any case, I see you're excited about OMI so I was interested to see what it was about.

Right on. The reason I'm bullish on VeVe/OMI is because of the team behind VeVe as well as their partnerships. For example, they have the license for D.C., Marvel, Disney, Star Wars, Pixar, U.S. Postal Service, Back to the Future, and a ton more.

Their head of licensing is Al Kahn who is a billionaire who made his fortune by licensing Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Cabbage Patch Kids, and Pokemon. He's the one who licensed Pokemon and brought it from Japan to America. In fact, he's the one who changed the name from Pocket Monsters (the name it was called in Japan). He's the one who got the Pokemon cartoon made and got it to air on TV etc. He's in the licensing hall of fame, and he basically came out of retirement to work on VeVe.

The CEO of VeVe is David Yu who runs some gaming/collectibles shops in New Zealand. David Yu is like the Al Kahn of New Zealand, and he's the one who brought Pokemon to New Zealand.

The fact that a company like Disney licensed its IP to VeVe shows how vetted the team is and how much Disney believes in this, IMO. Disney is also building its own Metaverse, and the rumor/speculation is that it will be linked up to the VeVe-Verse in some way.

VeVe is also rumored to have the Pokemon license in some form as well, but that hasn't been announced/confirmed yet. But everyone thinks they have it since they have Al Kahn and David Yu working on this. If they do have Pokemon, it likely won't be announced/launched until the VeVe app and web platform are stable enough to handle massive traffic, have the cash out option, etc.

Oh, I recall this project now. Don't worry, I'm fully bullish on NFTs being common place. It's a natural evolution of digital assets since it's a template that'll allow you to digitally represent everything. It never ceases to amaze me that Crypto folks don't understand that you don't actually have that much money until it becomes actual dollars in a bank account.

Dude has $750k in coins that no longer exist and aren't recognized by the people who even made them. The coins were delisted and the blockchain was shut down. The only way he can make $750k is if he swindles someone dumber than himself in a 1:1 transaction.
