like I said, eurovision is some strange european thing where the songs have a theme of natural resource conservation, anti war, love ballads, or wolf people who eat bananas/grandma

I enjoy Eurovision but they'll probably just give it to Ukraine this year which ruins it a bit.

Yeah Eurovision is supposed to be unpolitical, but the results are usually very political.

Like I said, I just kind of watch the spectacle from afar. I don't really care who wins, political or not. It's just really interesting to see what these countries put up to compete.

Finland has been best so far i think.

UK winning the jurists' vote and coming 2nd overall is good enough. No one was beating Ukraine on public vote.

Agreed. Spain were only 7 points behind us so I'd imagine they would have won instead. Spain were my favourite this year, so I definitely wouldn't have minded.

Yeah, UK finished fifth with the public vote and were only a very few points ahead of third overall. No guarantee at all they would have won if not for the war.

Of course, no guarantee Ukraine wouldn't still win. Last time they won it was political too (and pretty close) and I disliked it, actually thought the song deserved it this time. Besides, they could recieve significantly less points and still win.

Edit: Yup, I was rooting for Spain as well.

Spain of Sweden should have won.

Without Ukraine seems like Moldova or Serbia would have grabbed a lot of the popular vote.

I thought Moldova was a better version of the Ukraine song. Sweden was good and Spain was basically all ass.

Moldova was second with the public vote, now that's getting robbed.

Sweden is always among the best.

In any case UK probably hosts it next year so it's kinda like they won anyway.

there wasn't too much stuff i cared about this year. portugal and iceland were good and france, norway and moldova were pretty funny but that's about it. last year was better tbqh.

Sweden was just boringly perfect. It didnt grab me.
