I have friends on the heavier side, and whenever we would go out, they would eat a lot from several different places.

Tonight before going to a movie we are gonna dine in a restaurant and watch a movie right after. But knowing them, they are gonna order large drinks and large popcorn (large popcorn they usually share) like they always do. But I'm like wtf.

edit: Talking about effects of food and binge drinking affecting your own body. Not how it would affect others.

That in itself is not terrible. But we are dining out right before the movie. Large drink to yourself and large popcorn after is crazy. Like you should be full after eating at a restaurant or mostly. American size soda and popcorn is huge. I feel like it's out of habit they do. Always getting food at theaters

Another time we ate at a restaurant, then walked around to get more food.. and by the end they picked up a fast food meal on our way home. Easily 3000 calories for the night.

I'm so pissed. Like I have bad genetics and have to eat healthy to watch my glucose, cholesterol and blood pressure while they throw caution to the wind. I can only say so much as a friend. They have been struggling

Popcorn and soda at a movie are kinda like a given to me. I'd buy them too even after dinner cause it feels like something you should do idk.

I always drop the $6.50 or whatever for a large soda and drink maybe half of it. Mostly cause I don't want to have to pee during the movie. I could definitely finish one.

Idk I'm the opposite with the genetics as you. I need to eat like 5k calories a day, and lift heavy weights 6 days a week to gain like a lb.

Eh nobody is misunderstanding

The fact is if you compare the cons of both one is obviously worse

Eating a large popcorn during a film after dinner is not binge eating. Don't get me wrong it is probably overeating in terms of calories. And it might be "binging" even, in the sense of giving yourself a treat and letting loose. But binge eating is a specific thing.
