He hasn't really given up the CEO position. Just stepped aside while the investigation is happening. The minute he is officially not going to jail he will be back in control.

And that's assuming that Stephanie is actually acting as CEO and not just as a mouthpiece for Vince.

You have to feel like they've known about this for weeks, which is why Steph "stepped back" to make it easier to slide right into this interim role.

Honestly I don't know what the big deal is here. Seems like a situation between 2 consenting adults, with a little hush money to keep it private, unless the board is just using this as an excuse to finally get rid of him. If I was an 80 year old Vince McMahon, I would probably have done the same thing.

Also, apparently the board of directors has known about it for a couple months, definitely prior to Stephanie leaving.

just wondering. can the tag team and world titles be split up again if won by different people, or is it a permanent thing? I get and understand that The Bloodline is currently the best around, but WWE has been unwatchable to me for quite a while. I do enjoy AEW a lot better, but have kind of stuck with catching up with things on YouTube with top ten happenings

No clue what's gonna happen. Bloodline definitely pulled a Thanos on us with the belts, but we won't know what happens until either the Usos or Reigns lose their belts.

Between those two, the Usos will definitely drop first. Only way Reigns loses is if they really have McIntyre win MITB and cash in at Summerslam so he can walk into the UK ppv as champ.

And that's still very unlikely, considering Reigns hasn't been pinned in 2.5 years

And we're supposed to believe he's any kind of threat to either Reigns or Lesnar; Lesnar hasn't lost to anyone clean except McIntyre in over 2 years, and Reigns hasn't lost a 1 on 1 match since December 2019.

Theory has spent 2022 getting dominated by Lashley and losing to Pat McAfee.

I was into it early on, but it took SO LONG that I kinda want to see nothing of her/the angle anymore, which is sad.

So... what I've learned recently...

1) Vince's "No Rematch Clause" rule must not apply to the midcard belts because Ricochet and Theory got (or are about to get) rematches for the belts they lost. At least in Theory's case, he's a heel character that is coddled by management.

Though in the case of the IC title, the past couple years it's really been a belt no one's noticed if you put it in a corner somewhere. It still hasn't been defended on ppv in 15 months, even with Gunther as champ (who admittedly is by default, the best IC champion since Big E before WM37). At the rate things are going, I wouldn't put it past WWE to book Lashley vs Gunther to merge the belts to determine an Undisputed United... Continental Champion or something.

2) Judgment Day without Edge really got reduced to just being in the tag team shuffle. Meanwhile, as for the last group of people they feuded with: Styles is kinda in limbo without direction working matches with The Miz, and Liv is a Women's champ. Finn Balor really should've reconsidered >_>

3) Summerslam is currently Reigns vs Lesnar and Theory vs Lashley. We're surely getting McAfee vs Corbin, and probably something involving Miz and Logan Paul (maybe even Miz vs Paul)
