He hasn't been pinned in one-on-one competent since December 2019. - Two "Man" retirements/departures ended with Edge and Batista returning to action at specific parts of their career. In due time, these reigns eventually merged and led up to Roman's run. - The third "Man" title lineage that started in 2015 with Rollins, is currently in possession by Samoa Joe, who is now in AEW/ROH. Speaking of AEW... - Hangman Page is currently AEW's "The Man". This title lineage goes as far back as Ric Flair's final match ever against Sting in September 2011. Raw Nikki A.S.H. and Doudrop Carmella and Queen Zelina Alexa Bliss Asuka Becky Lynch Bianca Belair Dana Brooke Lacey Evans Liv Morgan Rhea Ripley Sonya Deville Tamina SmackDown Natalya and Baszler Aliyah Charlotte Flair Raquel Rodriguez Ronda Rousey Shotzi Xia Li They literally only have 3 established teams. They could put Dana and Tamina together for the sake of that bad 24/7 storyline. Liv and Rhea are too busy being in the middle of a stable war. Asuka has her sights on Belair's title, and Becky's trying to stay in the thick of things too. Lacey didn't spend all that time on maternity leave just to be thrown in the tag division (especially when she was reportedly supposed to have a singles title run before said pregnancy). That just leaves Sonya, who's spent the last 2 weeks jobbing to Alexa. On SmackDown, Rousey probably isn't wasting time in the tag division, and Charlotte might be taking time off for a bit. That leaves the other 4 to create at least one team. I had to look up results from 2020, because at one point Seth Rollins had the "rights" and risked the possibility of losing rights to Dominik himself and ending the whole thing after 15 years.
