Solid episode with some good action. It was good to see Hayden Christiansen in the flesh again. It was also good to see them let Vader show off his Dark Side powers.

I made it to the Howling Cliffs in Hollow Knight, but then I fell back into the opening area. Now I don't have a quick way back since I haven't unlocked the tram there yet.

Found the Howling Wraiths power in Hollow Knight. Definitely seems useful for taking out flying enemies.

Hollow Knight is a game that gets a lot better as it goes, IMO. I wasn't having much fun with it at the start, but it was quite enjoyable later on. Hopefully Silksong will do a better job with the early parts.

I was honestly enjoying the game a lot basically from Greenpath onward, though regardless I agree it gets better as it goes on.

Well I have no clue where to go next other than either trying to beat the Mantis Lords or grinding money to buy that lamp to let me see in dark areas.

I did find the guy who taught me the Cyclone Slash though, so there's that.

Finally upgraded my phone today after about 5 years. I don't know how they keep making these things bigger, I don't like struggling to reach the top of the screen with my thumb. I'm sure I'll adjust, but still.

Well, I discovered Deepnest and found the failed tram, which wasn't helpful. I guess at this point all I can do is grind until I get enough money to buy that lantern because I'm out of places to go that I can reach without it as far as I can tell.

I actually just got a new phone today as well. I ended up getting a Galaxy A53 and it's a lot bigger than my old phone.

Mine isn't TOO much bigger, I went from an iPhone 8 to an iPhone 13, but it's just enough to make it tough to use with one hand.

Yeah, I have a Galaxy S21+ and it's about as big as I feel like I can comfortably hold a cell phone with one hand.

Hahaha, that's amazing. My never-could-come-true dream for that would have been Life Will Change and it sounds like the anime had similar thoughts lol.

Wow, quite the cliffhanger there. Curious to see how it plays out.

I made it to the City of Tears in Hollow Knight and got quite a bit of story exposition. It seemed to make the main goal of the game clear at this point, and I also found the statue of the titular Hollow Knight! I was also able to upgrade my nail's strength and acquired the Dream Nail.

I actually thought about saying something because City of Tears is where you're "supposed to" go next*. I was a bit worried you somehow didn't grab the City Crest after beating False Knight, which has happened to some people and generally causes them to get stuck around this point. City of Tears is a really cool area though imo. Great music and atmosphere and it's around here the game kind of starts feeling like it actually opens up in terms of the things you can do.

*There's actually a few different ways you can progress, but the "normal" way is by just using the City Crest to enter the city and the alternatives definitely aren't ideal. You can actually get to City of Tears and the rest of the game by going through Deepnest at this point, but it's a bit convoluted and involves a difficulty spike which is probably quite painful especially without the nail upgrade. You can also grind for the lantern which unlocks some other ways to go but that's also obviously painful.

Yeah, I had the City Crest, but I guess I hadn't been back that way since I got the wall climb and the dash, so I didn't realize I could make it that way now.

I also found the shop where you can sell the random relics you find, so I was able to get a good bit of money.

All right, made it through the Soul Sanctum in Hollow Knight, defeated the boss, and acquired the Desolate Dive. I'm assuming I can use this to break through weak floors, and I can think of a couple of places offhand where that would be useful!

oh I just realized there's a "dream" version of that boss and dying there doesn't send you back to the last bench or make you lose all your money so that's convenient, although the fight was too tough for me right now, so I'll come back to it later

Yeah there are several bosses with Dream versions and they are all way harder. You're pretty much meant to come back to them later.

All right, I made it through the Royal Waterway in Hollow Knight and defeated the Dung Defender. Do we need spoilers for Hollow Knight boss names? That was a really fun fight. I also discovered the King's Station. I feel like the game is opening up to me now, so I'm starting to enjoy it more.

Made it to the Crystal Peaks in Hollow Knight and acquired the Super Dash, which seems really cool and useful.

Royal Waterways probably my least favorite area of the game. I just don't really like the aesthetic they were going for and all the enemies are really annoying. (Minus the boss you fought which is reasonably fun) Crystal Peaks is great though. Lots of fun platforming challenges especially in the area right where you unlock the Dash. Dash is also just a huge QoL upgrade in addition to allowing for some new exploration in areas.

I unlocked an area in Hollow Knight with a bunch of graves with spirits, and part of me assumed these were meant to be difficult optional bosses, so I didn't try to fight any of them quite yet. I did get to upgrade my nail again though, so that was good.

I was also hoping the Super Dash would help me clear the area above the Howling Cliffs, but I hit an invisible wall in both directions, so that was kinda lame.

Dragon Ball Z Episode 285 complete!

Wow, that was the payoff for the entirety of Mr. Satan's character arc. I'm honestly kind of impressed!
