First ending in Triangle Strategy get, what I'm calling the Ramza Ending (R.I.P. Serenoa). There's still the Delita Ending and the ARGATH Ending to be had, plus whoever represents the true ending. This ending paints a grim future for Norzelia (and it was low-key Benedict's fault, but at the same time, I'm pretty impressed with him! Dude knows how to get stuff done regardless of the collateral damage), so basically the cast was getting out while the getting was good!

Welp. My mom got sick and took one of those home tests and got a positive for COVID. Now my brother did as well (and he's waiting on a PCR result.) Now I have a sore throat so outlook not great. Just took one of the home tests myself and am waiting. It looked okay before but that could be because it was still working and the time hasn't elapsed yet.

Edit: ...Or not, came back negative. But that makes the sore throat awfully coincidental so I wonder if it's a false negative or I took it too early idk.

That sucks, hope it's mild for all of you. With a sore throat you probably have it, but it's worth taking efforts to avoid just in case; the household secondary attack rate even for Omicron is "only" ~30% iirc, so it's not futile to try if you haven't already gotten it.

My family and I have still avoided it, though I was worried for a bit two weeks ago after there was apparently someone who tested positive after coming back from a wedding I attended (and I particularly didn't want to catch it now because I'm staying with my parents for a few weeks). I was one of maybe five people there wearing a mask inside, so I'm glad I didn't let my guard down while I was there...

Afaik it can take a few days for the tests to come up positive, so you should probably continue to test for a few days

Yeah, I'm operating as if I'm positive (not that that changes much for me but still) and also taking steps to avoid household spread in case I don't somehow.

Yeah, I've had Covid twice and my wife never tested positive either time, although we're certain she had it the first time at least because she was pretty sick.

Thanks! So far I'm more or less okay. The sore throat is more of an inconvenience than anything. I'm most worried about my mom who seems to have gotten it worse but hopefully this is the worst of it for her.

Does she qualify for pavloxid? If so probably worth it for her to try and get that; it cuts down on hospitalization/death by like 90%.

IDK. I thought its effects/benefits for those who are vaccinated was unclear. I'd have to ask her if she's looked into it, but she's taken COVID seriously since the start so I do trust her to have done her due diligence.

I dont think there have been studies of efficacy specifically for vaxxed people, but I would be quite surprised if it went from such a huge effect in unvaxxwd to nothing in vaxxed. The one thing thats causing people to question it now for lower-risk people is that with omicron it seems common for people to have a rebound of symptoms/positive test for a few days after finishing treatment, though as I understand it the rebound symptoms are milder; its mostly an issue of keeping an eye out for it because youd be infectious again (so it could extend your isolation time). (The rebound is likely because the course should be longer for omicron)

Awkward transition, but I decided to get back to Hitman 2 and finish it up before I attempt a second Triangle Strategy playthrough. I finished the fifth mission, and it was unusual compared to the others I've done. The assassinations themselves were nothing special, but I did enjoy the espionage aspect of gathering info and evidence on the big bad through them. It was also kinda cool that the setting wasn't some huge city or complex, but it was a random rural American neighborhood.

If you're interested in the true ending in Triangle Strategy that's more complex than it might appear so you'll likely want a guide/to ask about it.

Stranger Things Season 4.1 beated.

And so I'm caught up until 4.2 drops in around two and a half weeks. Still a good show!

Seasons: 1 > 4.1 > 2 > 3

...I think. It's really more that 1 and 4.1 are definitely above 2 and 3 but are very close to their partner on that tier. I do think 1 is the most consistent season though 4.1 has the highest highs. 2 and 3 close to tied. I enjoyed all the seasons though.

S4E4 my favorite episode and the high point of the series IMO.

Omitting character rankings for now because it radically changes from Season 1 to Seasons 2-4 IMO and since Leon has started don't want to possibly spoil that? idk maybe that's overly cautious.

Hitman 2 beated, although that ending felt super abrupt. Last mission was pretty cool though.

Well, the first battle in Triangle Strategy NG+ was unexpectedly difficult with enemy level scaling and not having access to my full complement that I had gotten used to, like the use of QP skills.

But thanks to Roland's superior movement and the fact that the enemies only came after me one at a time, I was able to solo the last four units (including Travis and Trish) and survive!

So Vegeta only exists in this fight to give Goku a breather, huh. Or maybe that epiphany he had about why Goku has always been stronger than him will finally awaken him to his true potential. I guess we'll see!

I think Vegeta is one of the best characters because he does not stop with the development

Also, I wonder if anyone's tallied how many times Buu gets blown up throughout this saga just to demonstrate how cheap of a gimmick instant regeneration is for a bad guy to have.

yeah, it got really tiresome for sure. cell only total-regens once and it leads to a climactic showdown. buu does it over and over z starting super-early on. yawn.

Well, I just beat the False Knight. Wasn't too difficult to figure out his patterns, but it was a nice introduction to using the basic fighting mechanics.

Update: Got faked out by feeling better yesterday. Woke up feeling like crap and tested again and yeah I've got COVID. I mean, I expected I did but I was momentarily tricked that maybe it was a very mild case that I was actually over the hill on.

Argh.

Ugh, that sucks. Hopefully this is just a short setback and you'll get back on the road to recovery quickly.

Nicky has skyrocketed to the top of my favorite characters list on this show over the last several episodes.

Just beat Hornet in Hollow Knight and acquired the dash.

I'm not sure how far I am, I'd say about halfway through based on collectibles, but it's a guess.

I tend to gauge my progress by the trophy list.

Aw yeah Hornet. I don't think it stood out much when actually playing the game but her boss theme is probably one of my favorite songs in the game. (I was probably focusing too much on the fight because I was really bad at the game at first)

Got the wall jump in Hollow Knight aw yeah

I fought against the Mantis Lords and lost, and then I met an NPC who said I need to upgrade my nail first to win, so I'm trying to find where I can do that.

Wall jump is definitely when it feels like the game starts to open up--you're pretty restricted in terms of your movement options at the start of the game.

Mantis Lords another great boss fight. Love pretty much everything about it.

I think I forgot about the Mantis Lords until the endgame and was overpowered by then

I wasn't sure if you wanted gameplay spoilers, but no you don't actually have to. Upgrading the nail makes you do more damage at no cost, so it's certainly advisable, but it's not required at any point. Looking it up, the base nail damage goes from 5 to 9.

Edit: Well I think there is a money cost or something to get the upgrade; I meant it doesn't take away anything else from your character's fighting abilities though

They're pretty hard though
