Pretty good! He basically just eats, sleeps, and poops, and I'm not sure which one he does the most! Seriously though, he's been a pretty laid back baby. We had a newborn photo session today for an hour and a half, and he literally slept the whole time, which was nice.

and yeah, total brain fart on the mitts thing. I had intended to check the front of skull woods after killing moth. I'm actually shocked I was as far ahead as I was.

When you fell I thought you were trying to style and do some sort of minor glitch. It turned out, it wasn't. >_> While you were going up Ganon's Tower, chat was saying a Ganon fall probably wasn't enough to kill your lead and they turned out to be right!

You were neck and neck with your opponent going into Turtle Rock the first time (second for your opponent). You pulled ahead a bit when you skipped a chest in Mire and lucked out into getting the boots on the boss (your opponent check the dead chest). After that, your opponent didn't take the warp back into Turtle Rock and that pretty much was a loss at that point unless you wanted another rematch with Ganon. I was only half listening to the interview so I don't recall why Skeeter didn't warp back.

He may not have thought of it. Saving the portal is something that doesn't come up very often and you have to be really cognizant of how to set it up.

The Ganon fall was me just not paying attention. After I killed him the first time, I pulled up the race room to get ready to mark myself as done and just mindlessly help up on the controller while I did it. First time I've ever done that! Luckily my Ganon fights were pretty clean, so I didn't lose THAT much time.

And yeah, given how little was left to do at the point I was in Mire, I decided it wasn't worth it to hunt for the other other. I knew Vitreous had an item so I was willing to take the 50/50 that boots were there. If they weren't, I don't think I actually lose that much not not being able to dash for the last 7 minutes of the seed.

Were you planning to just go if you didn't get the boots. IIRC there was a necessary key on the lamp in Ganon's Tower.

I believe he set up the portal but didn't take it back for some reason. I think the commentators were speculating that he forgot. I don't know the portal mechanics enough to know if he screwed it up or something somewhere.

In order to maintain the portal you can't mirror, and you can't save and quit. Doing either will lose it.

And yeah, I was just going if I didn't get the boots. I was willing to take the 21/22 chance that the GT Big Key wasn't on the torch. The small key there wasn't needed, there was one under the pot in the bumper room that I grabbed, and one of the mini helmasaurs upstairs has a key, so I would have been fine if I couldn't grab the torch.

I don't think your opponent did either of those things until after they beat Mire. But, I would have to check the replay to be certain.

Yeah, so I went back and watched that section. Skeeter mirrored after beating Mire, so his portal was lost. He must have forgotten he set it up.

Oh, that's rough.

Yeah, had he remembered, the Ganon fall definitely causes me to lose. It looked like my execution was a bit better, so I probably gain some extra time on the GT climb, but not enough to make up 90 seconds from the fall. So that was quite fortunate for me.

It would be a memorable way to lose, though! But, I guess a win is better.

The Wheel of Time audiobooks are confusing because sometimes they change the pronunciation of a character's name between books. Sometimes the two narrators don't agree on a pronunciation in the same book!

Book 10 is cool enough now that I'm past the prologue. I like how they show everyone's reactions to Rand and Nynaeve channeling to purify saidin.

Oh, probably not. The fact that these events are basically concurrent with book 9 essentially tells me nothing of great importance is likely to happen in this book, but I do enjoy having something that sort of brings everyone together again, even in an indirect way.
