Ugh...have a 4 year old. Im currently in one those Disney on Ice shows where everything is so freaking expensive. Now my kid wants cotton candy and OF COURSE the thing is 10 bucks. Fuck Disney. The mouse will ruin your wallet any chance it gets.

Edit: fucking cotton candy was 18 cause it came with a mickey crown...OF FUCKING COURSE!

We traveled to Canada and are here for the week. It was a long trek with a one year old. I think this is one of the hardest ages to fly because they arent as easily entertained and want to move around. We are beat but we made it and shes having a blast with her cousins. Both my brother and I had babies during Covid so it was nice for us to meet.

That was my daughters favorite thing for the longest time too. But she loved to poop in it every single time she was in it.

Does it count if you're more of a dad to your nieces than their actual dads?

And I'm not just saying that. I pretty much stay on call to watch them and do everything a male figure would do as a co-parent. Literally spent the last 4 days with one and 2 of them with both. Older one having mental battles atm, so I take it very serious to always respond. Though, I did 95% of the time before that was relevant too. There's nothing I wouldn't call off to be there.

Had my kid for an extra day this last week, so that was nice. Didn't want to go back to his mom's though when she came to pick him up. At least he's over his case of strep that he had.

I have a 9, 7, and 3 year old. They all like video games, but the 3 year old mostly likes duck hunt on my NES. There really should be an official "parenting" board here, especially considering the average age of the people who post on GameFAQs.

I actually recommended it on forum for site suggestions and the anti-kid brigade promptly showed up and shot down my idea. This was several years ago.

I guess someone could make a private board and invite people.

Here's a question for you lot.

Do you ever get the songs your kids listen to stuck in your head?

Not too long ago, they knew about that song "My name is" which went like "cheeky cheeky cheeky, my name is cha cha, boom boom boom", hearing it enough got in stuck in my head, and I'd occasionally quietly hum / sing it around the house when doing things.

Am I the only one that does this or what? lol

Getting to the end of the school year so we have all sorts of things we have to attend. Older one has a band concert this week and the younger one next week.

They are missing the last 4 days of school this year because snows days extended the school year and I had already booked our Disney trip (we own a timeshare so we booked last August and its not really flexible after booking).

All the fucking time. Mostly movie songs like Encanto though. Sounds like your kid is on D Billions, I'm so sorry.

Don't even get me started on that shit.

Even my wife would dance around the house singing and vibing to that pressure song and they don't talk about Bruno. Was non-stop in my house at one point, drove me wild.

Yeah, that is the worst age for traveling. Past sleeping all the time, but not yet old enough for iPad for hours straight

My kid is 12. He's already taller than me and just as much of a little shit as I was at that age.

Oh yeah all the time.

She also loves to watch the pink fong and baby shark space adventure movie. Its one of the few things that give us 20 min or so but at times shes watched the whole thing. Weve watched or had it on in the background so many times that weve discussed the plot with each other.

I can't really call myself much of a parent these days, but my daughter just turned 19. I talked to her on the phone for a bit. It was nice.

My kid hasn't had anything to do with the wiggles for the last 6 or so years but I still find myself singing their songs and sometimes listening to their new stuff. They recently came out with "rewiggled" which has rock bands covering their songs and the wiggles themselves cover some rock songs like thunderstruck, bohemian rhapsody, shipping up to Boston.

So maybe I am looking back with rose tinted glasses or whatever, but the Terrible Twos, to my memory, werent as bad as the current Four. >_> I mean in some ways its nice that my daughter is more conversational and independent etc, but my goodness she gets more stubborn and rebels against authority more every day.
Yea my daughter went from 1 to being a twonager and that rebellious phase is still going strong 5 years later. Fortunately she has very high charisma and it is always difficult to stay made mad at her lol

My daughter's starting that phase of waking up in the middle of the night again. Usually I can put her back to sleep in her crib, but my gf will usually bring her to bed with us. She's been doing it a few times the past couple weeks. My gf is thinking it's a growth spurt. She'll be 21 months in a week.
