Still, considering the past few years you figured they'd give him more leeway. Though I won't feel too bad for him as I'm sure another team will snatch him up fast. Why would anyone take Florida to win a series? I just remembered them scoring like 6 goals a game in the regular season, Ovechkin was injured and the Caps goaltending has been hit or miss. Could Devils improve enough to compete for a playoff spot next year, powered by their improving youth corps + 2nd pick, everyone staying healthy and goaltending marginally improving?
