I'm still sometimes using my starter broadsword (max upgrades) at the end of the game. sometimes a slower harder hitting weapon is better though. make sure to use the right affinity too, something that scales with your best stat (strength -> heavy, dex -> quality?, int -> magic, faith -> holy or fire, etc.) Jen0125 posted... How do you guys actually like kill things it depends which area you're talking about. the combat plays almost identical to at least 2 or 3 previous games, so many of us don't have to learn this game except for the small differences. as for how to fight, generally play defensively. especially if there's an impossible boss, learn to evade them before you focus on trying to kill them. if you can kill them it will be because you know how to avoid their attacks. one thing I can't really give advice for is groups of enemies. since at least DS3, something "cheap" the game does is stagger enemy attacks. so if there's more than one enemy, the game will sync up their attacks so that you can't fit your attacks in and have a greater chance of being stun locked. this is very hard to fight through and you have to fight even more defensively in these cases. I keep trying to make new builds and try out new strategies, but no matter what I try I keep coming back to jump attacks. They're just too fun and effective. --- And with that...pow! I'm really trying to discover as much as I can in this game naturally, but my brother mentions stuff (he's on NG+2) and he's like "You're in the Mountaintops and you haven't found that, yet?" then I'm like wtf and I google the item and find out its in some cave in Liurnia that's obscured by all kinds of foliage. Probably gonna compare my map to an online map soon. I'm amazed at how much stuff is in this game already. The real issue it that you'll end up basically stockpiling almost all of them because upgrade materials are SORT OF on the hard side to find (to upgrade your weapon past +5 or whatever). I basically use the same weapon I found at the beginning of the game, 90 hours in. I have a couple others that I sort of upgraded here and there like the Frost Axe and Battle Hammer but have so many weapons I'll never use just sitting in my backpack. I haven't sold them mostly because a) most only sell for 100 runes and b) many are unique and I don't want to sell the only one in the game, even if I'll never use it. --- Equin 2: The Warren Peace- Out now!
