The absolutely insane, confusing currency conversion system is even more difficult to wrap my head around than the plot to a Kingdom Hearts game. It also has loot boxes in it, but with enough alterations to make it not fit the definition. You can do these dungeon runs at the endgame, and you can put these special stones in the door to improve the loot from the end chest. Special legendary versions of these stones (insanely rare without paying, of course) will guarantee much better drops, and putting multiple legendary stones in improves the drops even further. So in short, because there's a dungeon to fight through in between inserting the stones and opening the chest, it doesn't really count as a loot box. The game still didn't launch in Belgium and Netherlands where those are banned. Doing a free, no-stone dungeon run doesn't even have a chest spawn, just whatever the boss drops. Also, there's near-identical versions of these legendary stones (one account-bound and one that can be put on market) in the store, so you could very likely buy the wrong type. Immortal seriously puts every other microtransaction trash heap to shame. I genuinely don't see how anything could top it. MegamanXfan21xx 06/11/22 9:57:17 PM #212:	Somehow I missed that a new Binding of Isaac expansion came out. Guess I figured it would never come to console. Grabbed that up. Seems like they redid some sound effects to be more noticeable, but I'm not really a fan of it. The sound effect of a lightning projectile being fired went from a small quiet clap to a half-second sound of electricity arcing, and that gets tiring to hear when you get one of several items that fires lightning. Similarly, anything that touches a flame makes a sizzling sound, and that can get annoying when you get an item that spawns flames. Also, I've spent the past couple of hours trying one challenge called Backasswards. It spawns you at an endgame boss with several powerups and heart containers. The frustrating thing aside from hoping you spawn with a good item combo is that the minibosses that get summoned are fully capable of getting several cheap shots in on you. Some of them move fast, some love to spam homing bombs, some fire projectiles that blend in with all the other shit going on (even with high projectile visibility), and you usually spawn with normal or slightly lowered movement speed. The one I hate most is Ultra Lust, who moves fast and leaves behind a damaging blood trail that blends in with the blood of the previous things you've killed by that point. It's even worse if you spawn with an item that leaves behind its own blood trail. However, it also spawned me with a big sprite, so instead, I lost because I couldn't squeeze my fat ass in between the projectiles well enough. Great. Scannable fauna, mineral deposits you shoot with a mining laser, customizable ships and bases, space dogfights, and over 1,000 planets to explore with various alien wildlife. I can't wait to see what absolute abomination ships people make, if they actually hired a QA department this time, and if they'll use reskinned Skyrim dragons again. I think 1,000+ planets is too much, though. It's got the dismemberment (now with bone stubs!), stomping corpses to loot them, a wrecked post-massacre environment, a telekinesis device that can pull live enemies towards you and throw them, and there's even dodging and a melee weapon to give you some breathing room. Thankfully, they didn't forget the safeguard-free machines that can turn you to pulp. And with your armor having a transparent visor, you can see the terrified expressions of the main character as he's violently eviscerated! For some reason, it started out being connected to Playerunknown's Battlegrounds, set 300 years in the future, but they recently made it its own separate thing, which was a good idea IMO. He's a macho, trash-talking, ass-kicking, hedonistic, politically incorrect caricature of 80s action movie stars. Someone like this would have been cancelled hundreds of times over today. But if they focus on just making the movie as good as possible, Duke will just be like "What's that? I can't hear you from the top of this giant pile of money!" Duke might be a joke today, but that's because of incompetent directors making his last game flop and writing him wrong. He was a powerhouse in the 90s, and he can still be one today.
