Like "if they're in a movie I'll watch it no matter what"?

Since my friend does this (though it's a voice actress) and it's just lowkey unthinkable for me. If the premise doesn't interest me I don't think I'll watch a movie no matter who plays in it.

Not really an actor but I do this with Taylor Swift just because I like her that much and she's not in very many movies anyway.

Otherwise, I think the closest is like Anya Taylor-Joy just because she's in projects I'm already interested in but even she's not going to make me watch Playmobil: The Movie.

Not actively at the moment but I've gone through phases of doing this before. After seeing Daniel Day-Lewis in There Will Be Blood, I went back and watched every film he's ever been in solely because he was in it.

Actually can't think of many other examples though.

i have watched many things i would not have otherwise watched because a certain actor was in it and i have attempted to watch their entire filmography before but i gave up on that because it was basically impossible for EVERYTHING someone has been in to be good/hold my interest.

This is unintentional but I realized I probably watched most things with the Rock in it

if i had maybe had that completionist mindset earlier then i could have maybe kept up but sitting through like 20 films for like a minor 5-min. scene is ughhh. also i really don't want to watch VENOM.

Ill watch pretty much watch anything with Liam Neeson in it. Dude hard carries so many otherwise average to bad movies

I do this for plenty of directors, but not really for actors.

Uh, when I was a lot younger I would actively seek out Angelina Jolie movies for... reasons.

But tracking down DVDs in a largely pre-internet world wasn't easy. Also don't think she was particularly well known before Tomb Raider.

Only Daniel Day-Lewis, but he claims to be retired now. There are plenty of actors that I will check out their upcoming projects to see if I would be interested like Leonardo DiCaprio and Benecio Del Toro

I'll straight up admit to watching the Schumacher Batman movies for their casts. I regret absolutely nothing.

TBH this might be the case for most superhero movies with me, just not typically to that extent. E.g. Batman 1989 for Jack Nicholson, Superman for Gene Hackman and Marlon Brando, Captain Marvel for Samuel L. Jackson and Jude Law.
