His escapes, crimes and recaptures should all be off screen and he should always be in Arkham in the movies, and should serve as a Hannibal Lecter like figure in Batmans life.

That way you can keep the Joker in these movies but keep him fresh and never have it be a Joker movie.

That's fine for the first two but you don't do that build up and not have him be the main villain in the third move, assuming a trilogy.

Joker has been done to death frankly.

I approve of him never being in a movie again for a long time.

Joker should be like in that Injustice for All episode of Justice League where he's just a side character.

The Batman/Joker dynamic was already perfected in Lego Batman Movie anyway.

Honestly, I feel like the Court of Owls would be a great Big Bad for the BatPat trilogy.

A vast conspiracy involving billionaires, celebrities, politicians, and other people in positions of power who are responsible for the corruption, massive class divide and other socioeconomic issues that plague Gotham.

Maybe Riddler found out about them and that's why he decided to flood Gotham City, realizing the corruption runs so deep that nobody can fix it and the conspiracy contains so many players hiding in the shadows that it's impossible to tackle the organization without a "scorched Earth" approach . Or alternatively, The Court of Owls orchestrated the events leading up to the flooding in the first place so they could take advantage of the situation and maintain control over Gotham.

But Batman completes the Joker.

It's like having peanut butter but no jelly.

Ike having pizza but no cheese.

Etc.

Court of Owls is so fucking lame tho.

"The rich elites who rule the world and fuck things up for the masses" hits close to home and is a depressing reality

"Here they are in BDSM masks, ballroom dresses and suits, sitting in dark rooms, talking about crime and manipulating super-villains to rob banks" is just fucking dumb.

Honestly the only 21st century court of owls should be how Batman TAS handled it. Make it a small group of sociopathic varsity club silver spoon kids who think they are above everything and just going off on one when in reality they're pathetic.
