An atypical guess: 3/5 heroes, zombie, coin
Ping on Archer; throwing in the remaining 2/5 heroes, 2/3 treasures
There was a (+) on the chest, but I'm not going to throw it out (for a wand hint) just yet when I can eliminate bandit, frog, and sorcerer
Technically 7 monsters left, three have appeared in pairs, two tend to appear together, one only appears with zombies (that I eliminated), and no one has seen the Dragon yet. Throwing out the monsters that appear in pairs.
Solution: Got lucky and it was one of them with a (+); figured out the yellow was where the 2nd chest went.

Just got a 2/6 and figured I'm not going to get another for awhile. After the first guess, I was well that seals the deal. 2nd guess, and...

Apparently, hard mode is where you have to use the letters you know are in the word or something. I decided to look it up since people kept mentioning it

Yeah wordle has a hard mode. It's not especially difficult. It forces you to use letters you've unlocked. So for today's, had I kept hard mode on, I would've had to continue to guess the 4th letter instead of using an eliminator word. That's how my last streak got broken. I had an 80+ game streak going

You should see Hello Wordle; they have a HELL mode that locks incorrect letters you've used. Guessed "saver" and it was all black? You can't guess "gifts" because you already used the "S". (Somehow makes it easier than Hard mode, hard locking letters; sometimes makes it harder if you're still eliminating letters and now need a word you don't know of.)

Isnt hard mode the natural way to play? If you have say 2 greens and 1 yellow, of course you're going to play those letters in the next guess

It's the natural way a lot of people play, but not everyone. It's how I typically play, but it makes sense to use an elimination word in scenarios where you're looking for a single letter but there are multiple options

A nice new-ish Wordle alternative. They're up to game #85 now, but they provide all the letters in a 5x5 grid, lit up in the expected green/white/yellow. You get 15 tries, but each puzzle can be solved in 10. You can swap letters anywhere to anywhere, but the clues (yellow) are just for horizontal and/or vertical.
