bin at home and let the garbage trucks take it? I don't know how much a whole garbage bag of bottles is worth but seems like it might be a hassle to bring it in to a recycle place

I do bottle turn-ins all the time.

But then I'm homeless and living in Oregon, so it's kinda necessary for non-EBT items/easier to do than other places.

I use the big 5 gallon jugs and refill them weekly. I have 4 "yeti"s that I rotate out. Never use water bottles. Just refill my vessels.

I live in a state that charged you 5 cents deposit for each bottle. Every grocery store has machines for you to take them back and get your money.

I take them back because any overages in the deposit funds becomes a slush fund for the politicians in our state to use on their campaigns so no way Im giving them money to blow on that.
