It's been scary since so many family members and friends have gotten COVID, especially the omikron variant. Although thankfully none of them had really bad symptoms. But it got me to thinking, how many people whose lives still have never been touched by COVID.

My sister got it twice, my niece and brother-in-law got it, and my best friend. Some other friends here and there

I have not to my knowledge

Coworker had the original shortly after shutdown, and she had complications/the long haul variant. Took her almost eight months to recover, and she quit halfway through our reopening.

Avoided it all this time and fairly recently my mom and oldest niece got it. Were unsure if anyone else got it, but I more than likely did even though all the rapid tests came up negative

I had it in January 2020, but haven't had it since.

Had it in June 2020 and then again in Dec 2021. Was far worse when I had it the first time, second time wasn't too bad. Both had lingering minor symptoms for like 2 months.

My wife didn't get it when I first got it. Second time she got it like a day before me and got it far worse than me. Didn't get the lingering symptoms I got though.

As far as I know my immediate family and I havent had it. My uncle and cousin got it a year or so ago and my new roommate apparently had it a few weeks before moving in.

everyone in my family except my dad and I as far as we're aware. one close friend as well

I could not count the number who have gotten it, it's been too many people.

I know less people who haven't gotten it

Boss got it twice, probably a majority of my students at least once by now, stepmom went to the ER

Voted no but I guess it should be yes if I include people online. Was only thinking offline at the time.

My sister got it just recently, somehow I avoided getting it as well. (as far as selftests say at least)

Not in my immediate orbit, but yes, I've certainly known people who got it.

I'm very thankful that everyone I know who got it is now healthy for the most part

Some senses of smell went away, but they're ok

I don't think I've had it but many family members got it. One uncle and my oldest friend died of it.

November 2020 for me and my roommate. One brother this past December along with a bunch of cousins. Several coworkers. So yeah plenty of people here.

Me and my brother got covid twice. My parents once. Not to mention about half of my team in work got covid as well. Also 3 friends

Had vanilla COVID back in October of last year. My sense of taste is STILL messed up because of it. Really hope it gets better soon, it's been 5 months

Yeah several. Includes a couple of deaths too. No one in like My immediate family though.

You know only 15 people had it and within a couple of days it went down to zero

My wife, daughter, and I had it a couple months ago. Not fun of course but not terrible really (but 2/3rds of us are vaccinated so that may have helped weaken the blow). An elderly great aunt died of it. Not people I necessarily knew well, but a lot of my parents' friends died from it or got very sick. A bunch of my friends have had it but no one got sick to the point of hospitalization within my peer group fortunately. As expected its worse on you the older you are, more or less.

My sister and her family all had it we think, and my BIL's brother and his whole family, plus several of my best friends. Not sure how my folks and I have avoided it given all that.

I've been really sick a couple times in the last two years actually, and each time I took a covid test and was surprised it was negative. People keep saying things like "I haven't had a cold/flu since 2019" and like... can't relate!

I haven't, but two of my brothers, my sisters entire family, and my step mom have all had it. It put one of those brothers into a coma for a month, though thankfully he lived through it. He's going through physical therapy now but will probably never recover fully.

I've only had a couple colds since the pandemic started but they were both pretty obvious colds and the tests I took anyway came back negative.

I know for sure that my uncle did.

Miraculously, it took until omicron to actually happen, but the anti-mask side of my family finally got it over the holidays, and a trainer at my gym got it shortly afterwards.

while I cant OFFICIALLY prove that, I did meet him 8 days before Don sr, tested positive and I tested positive on the same day. Plus I shook his hand which I hadnt done in 6 months so *shrug*

I have not yet had it but everyone in my household has so I am lucky

My mam and my brother and his partner had it. A friend had it really early but not too serious. Thankfully nothing serious yet. Currently in the middle of a testing every 2 days cycle again. I've had 6/7 tests in the last month. All negative. I literally live in Wuhan though so, y'know. Weirdly all the people I know that had it were either in UK or US I don't know anybody in Wuhan that has had it.

Just tested positive this morning. So much for that!
