Is there some hidden yuri anime airing tomorrow I don't know about?

Virgin road is an action yuri (supposedly). People from japan periodically end up in this other world and always bring disaster. In this other world there is a group tasked with assassinating the japanese people that make it over to prevent said disaster. One female assassin meets a japanese girl she just can't manage to kill and thus yuri ensues. Supposedly the yuri aspect is fairly slow to progress in the source but is present.

Oh yikes Isekai.
At least I'll get to watch Love Live on Saturday.

Sort of but the main character isn't the one that was isekaid, at least going by the synopsis.

A quick glance makes this spring season look fairly lacking. At least there's shield hero s2. Be nice if we got some more Mushoku Tensei this year.

NIS Classics volume 3 was just announced for Switch, with La Pucelle: Ragnarok & Rhapsody: A Musical Adventure. I'm hyped for the latter; I still remember seeing the intro while watching Cinematech on G4 years ago.

As far as I can tell there's been no indication of whether it will be English, Japanese, or dual audio; I'm hoping that's not a sign that it won't have the English dub.

Hoping it gets localised, as long as Rhapsody is based on the original version, I heard the DS version made changes.

If you go and read a chapter you get different ads.
The front page ads seem static but I also saw Oreimo and some random completed manga about an unemployed NEET lady.

I am surprised that the manga is still in publication after 20 years.

I remember reading somewhere that the mangaka has said either he doesn't want a Yotsuba anime or that it won't work as an anime.

there should be some kind of anime/manga algorithm recommender out there that uses your MAL scores or something... visual novels have one via vnstat and it's scarily accurate. steam does something similar for games too

I know a long time ago there was a site that would match you with other similar MAL users based on your scores and you could just look at what they rated highly to get recs but it never worked very well for me. Even people with similar scores for similar stuff rated them that way for different reasons.

Can't read Aharen-san because the manga was taken down on MangaDex.

Aharen is ok so far. I just really hope she doesn't talk inaudibly forever. Also one of those social problems that I feel like could be handled through logic and rules but not really the point I guess.

Virgin road's english title doesn't have that in it so I guess I'm just gonna call it executioner. Anyway, executioner first episode wasn't quite what I expected. People get summoned into this world and end up with a "pure concept" for a power. Like the example guy got the pure concept of null and he could delete matter. In the past there were at least 4 of these people that caused large scale catastrophes and so now they are kill on sight in this fantasy world and summoning itself is banned although clearly it still happens.

Something I didn't expect was that theres been a lot of technology and culture taken from the summoned people in the past before they were banned so the civilization is a mix of old and somewhat more modern. Like we see an old timey car in episode 1 and also a factory district with ether particles coming out of all the chimneys instead of smoke.

Episode 1 cut off at an annoying point right when the main girl met the summoned girl whom we know she can't manage to kill based on the synopsis. Looking forward to more episodes. The quality of animation seems average but passable at least.

Damn it, already spoiled for what the Nijigasaki S2 insert song is for episode 1.
I like can't use reddit at all until the episode comes out and it aired like 3 hours ago.

watched the seirei gensouki anime and picked up where it left off in the LNs, i'm around v8 or 9 now

anime had a severe dearth of liselotte content considering her point of view ends up dominating like a third of volumes for a while

i've rewatched it 3 times total, which is extremely high for me. the only one i've rewatched more is the shitty old pso2 one because it's great mmorpg grinding content

Yeah devil is a part-timer was great. I can't wait for season 2 coming in summer. Maybe I should rewatch the original to remember it better although I think I remember just about everything that happened. Idk why my memory for anime and games is amazing but my memory for everything else is terrible.

Also finished up kaguya S2 so now I'm ready for S3 to start in a few days. People said it was just more of the same but IMO S2 was better than S1. I feel like the gimmick of making the other confess wore itself out after the first few episodes so it's better when it just focuses on interesting situational comedy involving the whole group or other members. Hayasaka best girl.

Watched the first ep of trapped in an otome game. Feels like a very average isekai. Probably end at around a 7/10 on MAL. Watchable so far, but nothing special. Ugh, still a week until kingdom S4 starts. Although presumably this season will be a bit weaker than S3 and a potential S5 based on what manga readers say. Sort of the resting point between two big conflicts.

Should be able to finish up AoT final season 2 shortly which will mark the end of last season for me. Hope it has some kickass action like last episode.

Wow, that's kinda bullshit. AoT final season: conclusion arc announced for 2023. This naming shit has gone too far and wtf we have to wait another year to see this conclude? Episode was fine but left on a cliffhanger as well which lame considering the wait.

Season 1
Season 2
Season 3 part 1
Season 3 part 2
Final Season part 1
Final Season part 2
Final Season: Conclusion arc (set to air next year).

Why they couldn't have just numbered that 1-7, or at worst 1-6 and then final, we will never know. Well actually we will, it's a shitty marketing ploy to get people to watch now while there is interest instead of waiting until the whole thing airs by tricking people into thinking this is the end.

We already knew this final season part 2 wouldn't conclude things but there was assumption that it would wrap up with a movie or two or at least a short season very soon. The fact that it's still a year away is pretty BS.

Whats presumably worse is that the portion that all the manga readers hate is going to take up like 90% of next season so it'll probably go out poorly after being dragged out this long. Oh well.

I had purposely not seen anything after S3 because I heard that the "last" season was being split into two parts so I thought I'd wait it out until they ended.
Fast forward to today when it finished and I'm in the midst of the "last" season and this news hits..
Just ugh, I'm also doubly depressed because 11 epi's into this season (first part) I am finding it far less enjoyable to sit through than S3 (which imo, is the best one by a longshot)

I've seen s1 and s2 of AoT, but I've been holding off until it finishes. Pumped to watch it, but can wait for the rest of it.

Also, one thing I can't help but notice about the not-actually-last season of AoT is that everyone got.. uglier? it's quite distracting really

Yeah, that one. Never watched it, forgot the name. But hell did the popularity drop.

Couldn't tell you. I'm anime only, I've seen mention of people saying the manga ending is trash. I've heard some people say that it's just not fleshed out enough and feels like stuff comes out of nowhere and that additional time in the anime could give that context and make it fine but I've also heard it's already fine and that it's irredeemable and terrible so who knows.

I agree that S3 part 2 was probably the peak of the show but I think the last half of final part 2 is pretty solid as well. The action scene in episode 10-11 is top notch and the emotions around that fight are pretty impactful.

Just like the show with the ice zombies, the show is at it's best when it's people vs people with politics and backstabbing. Supernatural elements are IMO almost always less interesting than human ones, outside of a wonderous adventure context (like mushoku tensei, although it also has good character writing).

I ask because I think;

Season 1 was slower paced, but good
Season 2 was eh and I skipped/ missed episodes
Season 3 part 1 was fun/ decent
And I loved Season 3 part 2. It was short, sweet and amazing

I'd say so but there are some weaker parts. Overall for me it's probably around S3 part 1 with a few moments that rival season 3 part 2. The beginning of f1 is pretty wild and then the later parts of f2 are pretty great. Everything in the middle is weaker but theres still a lot of important questions being answered.

Update to Master Duel was has had huge negative feedback because releasing half of like 5 different archtypes which are all useless without the other halves is basically moronic.

Watching Healer Girl right now and questioning my own sanity. Anime can be extremely campy at times.

I am not looking forward to watching part 2
The direction that the plot has taken is very much not to my liking

Realistically, of course she might not get quite as big as them, but you never know. Lil Nas X and Doja Cat were popular on the internet before going mainstream and something like that could happen to her.
