I'm behind like 5 episodes on Takagi-san so I'll probably bang that out this weekend.

I watched Evangelion Rebuild 2.2.... twice. Watched the Nexflix version last week and the Funimation one yesterday.

The Funimation version is so much more natural and raw, and I fucking love it. It and the orginal is so much more energized. Its a little over the top, but it kinda fits a lot of the time. Spike Spencer absolutely kills it in comparison to his Netflix version.

Also I just learned that 3.0+1.0 is different/ the final movie instead of a release of 3.0/3.3

Saturday's are the good days this season. Got realist hero (which was a good episode), dress up darling (every episode is a good episode), and akebi (haven't watched it yet), all in one day.

In realist hero I do feel like they kinda blasted through a ton of stuff. So much of the show is just explaining what he already did off camera but it's still pretty satisfying somehow.

The dress up darling this week was great as always. It's nice the way Marin crushes on Gojo. It's somehow a lot more realistic than usual. I feel like I could watch 100 more episodes of this in a row without getting tired of it.

So, I finished up Bones and already blazed through the second season of Kimetsu no Yaiba. Glad it's getting another season. Probably watch Jahy next, but not quite sure.

Wish I had the Plus version so I could get the additional cutscenes, but I think there's a Youtube playlist I can check out. Shame that Logy, Ayesha and Nio are only in the ending of the original version.

86 FINALLY resumed. A solid episode wrapping some stuff up and it was kind of nice to have some distance between the crappy fight that ended episode 10. Not really sure what the final episode will be. Hopefully they announce another season.

Akebi still chill and pleasant. Sometimes I forget who all the characters are except akebi though.

I want to play elden ring and triangle strategy really badly but I'm too sick.

After watching episode 8 of Takagi-san S3, yea this show totally takes place in the mid to late 2000s. The only thing that stands out is their use of smartphones, which could be reasoned away in saying that it takes place in 2007-2009 as the phones are probably modeled after the first generation iPhone.

I got addicted to Dress Up Darling like everyone else. I checked out both anime and manga and decided I wasn't missing out on much by sticking with the manga. I swear every chapter feels like it's gonna be the death of you with its cuteness (and Kitagawa's defenseless).

Special mention to the succubus cosplay scene..

The anime has good production quality and Kitagawa also has a the same speaking style in the subtitles as she does in the manga.
Next episode of the anime will be the Love Hotel and my guess is that it will get a second season once some more chapters are written.

So I caught up on Takagi-san 3 and it's going to be hard to choose between Takagi-san and Bisque Doll as anime of the season for me. Bisque Doll S2 (if it happens) has a good chance of being better than S1, and Takagi-san 3 is just everything you'd expect and Rie Takahashi really nails Takagi. Depends on where the season ends, as we know we'll be getting a Takagi-san film later this year:

Just watched the 9 latest episode of attack on titan final season: 2 (which won't even conclude the series). Still great IMO. I've heard the manga's ending is terrible but it seems we won't even get to it in this season.

Watched episode 9 of bisco and honestly, dropped. This show went to just complete shit and has the biggest idiot plot of all time where they just don't kill the fucking bad guy for no god damn reason and then repeatedly suffer for it. They aren't even sparing the bad guy, they just like, forget to kill him or something. It makes no sense and given the severity of what happens just completely ruins the entire show. It was terrible in episode 8 and then double terrible in episode 9. The show had been pretty enjoyable up to that part but it's beyond redemption at this point. Sad. It's now and then, here and there, all over again in terms of just not killing the fucking bad guy ruining everyones lives despite being presented at this point like a dozen or more chances.

Watched the newest episode of Dress Up Darling, looking forward to the next one based on title alone. >:D

Newest anime purchase should arrive tomorrow.

Going to look at the Steam JPRG sale later too.

Warning: Next season is stacked. I do not think there's ever been a time where I've wanted to watch this many anime before.

10 different shows means 5 hours a week.

So far theres only 5 shows I'm pretty sure I'll watch next season. Kingdom S4 (WOOHOO!!!), shield hero (I guess), that yuri that will probably suck but it's yuri so I'm gonna watch it anyway, love is war S3 (if I catch up with the other seasons), and spy x family (heard it's supposed to be quite good). There's several more I'll watch at least one episode of but don't have super high hopes for. Seems average from my point of view.

I really don't pay much attention to what's currently airing or coming soon; my backlog is so large that if I kept up with current shows I'd never get around to watching much else. I basically just get pleasantly surprised when a manga I like gets an adaptation.

Only show that's currently on my backlog is Asobi Asobase and I'm not entirely sure I want to watch it.

Genius prince continues to be great. Might be my biggest surprise of the season since dress up darling was expected to be good. I guess Akebi was a pleasant surprise as well. Most political shows make the most basic maneuvers sound as if they were genius moves, but genius prince is the opposite. Every move they make seems whimsical and silly, but they are actually very elegant solutions for the most part that could have been the genius move in some more serious war drama. They set up these situations so quickly and then solve them just as quickly so it can be kinda hard to realize that the genius prince actually is making some pretty ingenious moves. The recent mealtears arc used basically 3 different levels of schemes all at the same time to perfectly satisfy every different faction and let the prince come out on top. The only real conceit was the holy army showing up when they did, but it wasn't that farfetched.

I love cilvanis, already saw that a few days ago, although it's not really a great fit here, because the good guys are ostensibly trying to kill the bad guy, they just like, don't, for no reason, after they win over and over. The good guys are like bond villains or something where they need to give a lengthy monologue after winning before killing the guy giving him the time needed to turn the tables. They also shot him in the hand like 3 different times that could have just been the head. At one point they completely beat the bad guy and then instead of killing him while he is lying on the ground incapacitated, they run away as if they had killed him. Then he gets up and orders his goons to chase after the good guys and critically wounds a bunch of them. Like, wtf, just kill the guy. They didn't decide to spare him or that killing is wrong or anything like that, theres literally zero reason or justification. That's why it drove me insane and I'm still malding over it a week later.

At the same time, Atsushi pulled out his twin shamshirs and swung them down. His job was Arabian Kirito and his artifacts let loose razor sharp blades of wind every time he swung them.

If it's the Definitive Edition you can get all the required materials for Colony Upgrading through the Time Attack trials.

Although, the materials only unlock near the point of no return at the end of the game so...

Huh. I did not like this episode of ranking of kings. It made no sense and the setup for season 2 makes it kind of seem like everything that happened in season 1 was relatively pointless. In fact, I kind of feel that way already. Bojji went from weak to suddenly the strongest being in existence in a short week long training session putting even one punch man's nonsense gains to shame. He got that strong to fight literally 2 people whom he beat instantly with zero effort. Then they just forgave the bad guys. Like, what was the point of any of that? Why is bojji not pissed at miranjo for killing his mother anymore (and she did it for basically no reason)?

It's one of those shows that gets worse the more I think about it. It peaked at episode 3/4.

Ya'll I really need a new anime to watch, and I'm thinking of biting the bullet and finally pushing myself to watch past the first few episodes of Attack on Titan. I just found the giants super grose and couldn't watch it, but I hear good things so that is probably what I'm gonna do.

I have Netflix and Amazon only right now (well disney+ but that doesn't really have anime other then clone wars and old spider man cartoons (Which I have already watched recently). I tried The Duex X machina dnd anime but just couldn't get into it on Amazon (which is sad cause I REALLY usually love any dnd inspired anime sigh....so wish there was a season 2 of Grimnar and ash already).

Funimation or whatever took it over Crunchyroll (i forget who got who), I have as well (just I have to watch comericals.

Wish there was a multi-season really good anime for me to watch. I'm midway through a bunch (Shield hero, My Hero Academy etc) but none of them have really grabbed my interest (demon slayer as well, just a bunch of em).

Just in an anime slump I guess, I can't find something that I really love sigh.

Edit I'd really love for it to be dubbed btw, I'll watch really good anime subbed , you know if it's great, but I prefer dubbed just for how easy it is to do other things while watching it.

I think it's pretty great. One of the few shows that IMO completely deserves the hype.

As for long good anime, monogatari series is still my favorite anime and it's like 100+ episodes worth. It's pretty hard to say if someone will like it or not but it's very unusual. It doesn't change very dramatically so if you don't like it after a couple episodes, you probably won't change your mind.

If you can handle old anime thats also subbed, legend of the galactic heroes is probably the best show over 100 episodes. I haven't checked out the remake which may be more palatable but also not near finished. It's the biggest show I've seen, anime or not. It's got over 100 important named characters that all feel fleshed out and well handled.

Don't really know your taste so I don't know what else to recommend.

For some reason I've been compelled to read the This Art Club Has a Problem manga. Very random impulse because I was surprised it was still ongoing despite being 10 years old and it's been 6 since its Anime adaptation.

I usually don't like sci-fi anime (robots and stuff), but I did like Tri-Gun, so if it's semi-western themed sci-fi anime I do like it (or if people have powers/mutations etc).

Favorite is anything that is semi-DnD like with a fantasy setting (although urban fantasy is awesome too just really freaking rare).

Wish there was some Dresden like anime that would totally rock.

I'll check those out, I did watch a bit of attack of titan but struggling through the first episode again (which is what stopped me last time).

Also really prefer dubbed right now if possible because I'm too lazy to read unless it's REALLY good, and more then likely i have l already watched anything that is that good in my genres sadly.

Best fantasy IMO is mushoku tensei. I think it has a dub. Had a 2 cour season so it's not super short but still not that long yet. I'm always looking for more quality fantasy shows as well cause there just aren't enough. Oh, 12 kingdoms is really good if you haven't seen that. The first episode or 2 caused me to drop it my first time around but once they get properly into the other world, it's really good and quite unique. No clue if it has a dub either. Then, not fantasy but kingdom which has a 4th season coming out next season is ancient chinese war stuff and it's great. Probably around 70-90 episodes of it out already. Nothing even remotely like it.

EDIT: just looked it up. 12 kingdoms does have a completed dub. Kingdom has a completed dub for season 1 and 2 but doesn't appear to have anything for season 3 (which is by a different studio) so I'm not sure if they even plan to dub the newer seasons. Also, the first 15 episodes of kingdom are a prequel to the actual show. It's important stuff but it's not indicative of what the show is actually like. The shitty art also gets better each season and is actually pretty good art in season 3.

Did you watch the Mushoku Tensei ova that came out recently? It's only on ep, but it's more Mushoku Tensei, so that's always nice.

Looking forward to s2 of shield hero and s3 of honzuki next season.

I was gonna say most of the isekai fit the bill nicely. I really liked Mushoku Tensei and Shield Hero, and Konosuba is fantastic if you want mainly comedy.

Also Cannon Busters is kind of obscure and sort of like Trigun, with some decent world building. All those I mentioned have dubs, and I think Cannon Busters is on Netflix.
