I started Shallie today. It's interesting how Gust puts one of these games out every year and slowly increments over them. For being a small studio they really put a lot of effort in.

Been playing Sophie 2 since I got it for my birthday the other day, and it's kinda crazy how much Atelier games just keep steadily improving, bit by bit. Seamless transitions between field and battle (no loading screens for battle!), battles actually take place where you initiated them on the field, same crafting system as the previous mysterious games with one new linking twist, extremely expedited tutorials because it's a sequel..

now if I could just figure out why I have a microstutter every second on the dot

Wow. Whoever animated akebi this season really likes feet. The show is pretty strong yuri bait and randomly for like 5 seconds an episode gives us some makoto shinkai film lookin scenes. The art style is kinda weird for the faces though. Overall it's a pretty comfy show thats a bit more high energy than some comfy shows even though theres still no plot or anything.

Apart from one episode the anime is very faithful to the manga. The animation and focus on feet is the author's thing.

My only criticism. There is plot, but they seem to be waiting until the last two episodes to focus on it, which makes no sense in context of the manga which has focused more towards the relationship between Akebi and Erika. They are actually introducing characters out of order in which they were introduced in the manga and it's actually messing with the pacing a bit.

So after a bit of fun with the courier signing the package and marking it as delivered when they never came here (but someone did drop it off a few hours later), I got to open up my new copy of Spirited Away.

And it is the wrong region. -_-

At least it was cheap, and I can still watch it, I'm just limited to using my PS2 since I have DVD Region X for it. But composite cables aren't as good as HDMI.

Playing Fate/Extra on my PSTV, reached the second round. Looking forward to the remake though, the combat system could easily be better.

Still playing Xenoblade. Have 6 party members, still haven't gotten caught up to my old Wii save. Also, on s11 of Bones, so I'm getting closer to watching some anime again.

Just watched episode 9 of Dress Up Darling. That was cute. Shame I gotta wait another week for more.

Beat and now Platinumed Tales of Arise.

Solid 8/10 game.

Man, akebi is such a pleasant show. I think I'll save the final episode thats out till after my wisdom tooth removal in 2 days. Fairly nervous about that and the recovery with my condition but hopefully it's not too bad.

they are STILL at rank c. every town is a cycle of getting underestimated, proving themselves to be op, and running asap when people start to know who they are. i really hope there's a buildup to a big arc where all of their connections are eventually used. because as of now it's just repetitive "we get 10-20% stronger each volume!" progression, when the mc already can 1v1 the strongest being in the world easily

Oddly enough BOTH games have reported problems with framerate in heavy areas, but most agree that the underlying game could be enjoyable enough for you to power through it if you're not overly sensitive to framerate.

The only EN Vtuber I seem to watch any meaningful quantity of these days is Lilyhops.

Once again I didn't die. Wisdom tooth removal went fine. I can't believe how fast the actual procedure is. I swear it was 10 seconds. Was like, slice, pliers, wrench it out, thats it.

Now I have to deal with the recovery though. My main issue is that the only thing I can eat period is brown rice, which is like the worst possible food to eat after tooth removal cause the bits of grain get stuck in the hole and infected. I don't have any choice though.

Anyway, time to watch the anime I saved up. Got 1 akebi and 1 dress up darling.

I've had that Dress Up manga in my plan to read list for quite a while (just because I like the mangaka); I had no idea it was gonna get big like it did.

It's honestly one of the best romcom manga I've read so far. Right up there with Jitsu Wa Watashi Wa and Kaguya-sama for me.

Both the Male and Female Main Characters have fantastic chemistry with one another. The guy is a bit passive, but the reason why he is is believable and you see him grow out of his shell as it goes on. Plus he has an actual personality which is sadly rare for romcom MCs.

Of course, the main reason why it's such a hit is the female MC, Marin. It's honestly so refreshing to see a FMC who is outgoing and outspoken about her otaku hobbies without it being played off as a gag. And most importantly SHE IS HONEST TO HERSELF ABOUT HER FEELINGS. Like damn, no tsunderes allowed here. She knows she likes the MMC and she likes the fact that she likes him. It's honestly so adorable when you see her hardcore crushing on the guy.

I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a breath of fresh air rom/com.

Almost done with s11 of Bones and then it's just s12 to go, so I'm edging ever so close to Kimetsu no Yaiba s2. Every time I play more Xenoblade, I get the urge to watch some anime. For Xeno, I'm at the start of chapter 10.

Triangle Strategy is in the to-be-played stack, and it looks like Rune Factory 5 will be there soon, too, but I have been spending a fair amount of time watching LPs of Fire Emblem hacks (e.g. Project Ember) instead. There is a promotion heading down the pipeline for me, and I do not yet know what that is going to do to my free time, but I still consider it good news.

Dress up darling is so enjoyable. This latest episode was wholesome as fuck. I'm gonna be sad when it's over in a few weeks. I can't believe how much they've made my opinion of main guy change. I honestly hated him in the first episode or two and was just tolerating him to watchin marin, but at this point he's my favorite character and seeing him change when confronted with new experiences is really satisfying. I think the part in episode 8 at the beach was a really powerful moment that wasn't overly dramatic. Have nothing but praise for the show at this point.

Same for me, just have to finish elden ring first which will take forever. I loved what I played of the demo on hard. A lot of small things make the battles good and the pursuit attack system is great for shaking up the normal SRPG formations you'd go with. The AI was also surprisingly competent and would actually set up formation before attacking if you take a defensive approach instead of the typical suicide charge when they get in range of your units.

I just started reading the manga yesterday. It was cool how he powered through his cold and the time limit for her.

The manga worth reading? The anime was a bit cringy so I'd take regular pause breaks, but I have enjoyed it.

Large package arrived today, 43 DVD cases to sort through and test. Fun. At least this bulked up my library a load for a good price, and got a few duplicates to give away.

tbh, at some point I need to stop buying physical media altogether because it gets to be too much.

Watched 3 episodes of anime today. I think I actually enjoy genius prince more than realist hero, although both are good. Leadale continues to be chill. I'd probably be living cayne's life (before the power outage) if I were alive 50 years in the future. Maybe that'll be what old age is for me.

Everything is pain today though. Day 3 after my wisdom tooth is out and being able to only eat rice instead of soft foods has my whole mouth fucked up and I couldn't handle the pain meds I was trying so I'm just bearing with it. Quite miserable but it could be worse. Hopefully it's smooth sailing from tomorrow on. If I don't get an infection or dry socket, then today should be the worst of it.

I have half a season of like 4 different anime I need to watch in the next 2 weeks before the spring season starts and a lot of stuff starts up (Nijigasaki S2, Shogi-Senpai are the ones I'm immediately aware of)

Oh, and seems Toei was hacked recently, so a few series will have episode releases delayed. Since I can't post the link I was given (bah for limits), I'll just quote the article.

Toei Animation and the official online accounts for the Digimon Ghost Game, One Piece, Delicious Party Pretty Cure and Dragon Quest The Adventure of Dai anime series' announced today that due to the anime studio being hacked, the production schedules for each show has been affected. Because of that, starting March 20, all the series will have broadcasting delays as production tries to resume in light of the hack.

Toei Animation announced on March 7 that the day before they had found their internal systems compromised by the third party. To combat the hack, the studio shut down any connection into the internal system from outside the company, closed down their online shop, and had to temporarily close down those same internal systems while investigations were ongoing. A representative reconfirmed today that the scope of the hack is under investigation, with Toei and a private security company currently working alongside a specialized security company to uncover the details.

Instead of this week's episodes of Dragon Quest The Adventure of Dai and Delicious Party Pretty Cure, which were scheduled for March 12 and 13, the two series' will show repeats of previously aired episodes. One Piece and Digimon Ghost Game, which air back to back on Sunday mornings, was already not being shown this week due to the nationwide broadcast of the Nagoya Women's Marathon. Starting March 20, all Toei Animation-produced series will see delays, though the scope of the delay hasn't been officially confirmed yet.

One Piece's official website and a statement on the Digimon anime Twitter account (above) confirmed that the production issues were due to the shutting down of internal systems which was used in the production process. More details will be posted on their official social media as they are confirmed.
