Fifteen hours in, just starting the second area. Four stars, 81 pokemon caught.

Overall having a lot more fun than I expected with this game. I really miss the sound pokeballs make when you catch pokemon, though. That "poing!" sound.

Been avoiding this topic since I wanted to finish the game first. Finally finished the dex and got the shiny charm. though I'm still not rank 10. Feels kinda silly

Woohoo, my satchel was returned.

Then I went out and climbed up a hill and was greeted by my first Growlithe.

This was a good afternoon.

I am also wondering how I am going to tackle the rest of the collectibles as of now I was almost guideless
I aasume I will try to get mostly everything by myself and use a guide for the last few things I miss

Started a game myself.. just doing random stuff so far but I am wondering if I should just focus more on the missions at first and do the pokedex completions later.

I have yet to see a freakin shiny yet what the heck

I recommend adding a stamp on the map anywhere you find a wisp - will really help with getting the last couple

Haha shiny Lickitung is great

Wisps aren't that bad. Just fly around on Braviary at night and most of them can be spotted. Only a couple are in caves or some such

I unlocked Basculegion and boy am I bad at aiming Poke Balls while riding it/jumping.

So I'm nearing what I assume to be the end so as I ran by the photo place I thought, "hey! I should get a pic with my team before the end!" but little did I know it's the worst photo mode I've ever seen lol. You can only get out a single mon and you can't more or change the camera angle or zoom or anything at all and it's just a blank or colored screen. Jeez, it's pathetic.

Yeah I tried the photo building last night. Very weird. So I just got some cool photos by sending the team out at the same time on some beach. That seemed better.

Does anyone else have issues with the camera when on a ride Pokmon? Specifically Ursaluna gives me the most issues but also Wyrdeer and Basculegion when sprinting. The camera just gets all wonky for no reason.

Sometimes it runs into terrain and will force you to turn around.

It's a shame the photo thing isn't better, but usually it's things like that getting prioritized above things I care about so if they had to cut something short, I'm not complaining.

New bug introduced by the patch: Make sure you do not catch Cresselia until you receive a request from Mille to do so. If you've already caught it before then, he will not recognize the request as complete (the flag for completion must be triggered upon catching Cresselia, rather than just possessing it). Pre-patch, doing things out of order just spawned a second Cresselia once Mille gave the request, so they "fixed" that oversight without fixing the quest itself.

The Cherrim bug was also fixed.

Is anyone else disappointed at themselves for playing too boring?
There are so many items in the game and yet I never use them..at all. I didn't even read what they do
I only used healing once (I a battle I mentioned here) and Pokeballs. That's all. I just brute forced my way into everything

Eventually I tried out cakes and started using them, but yeah for the most part I didn't use any o them fancy items

I've used items to make certain pokemon easier to catch. Throwing spoiled apricots or mud balls. But mostly I only craft pokeballs. Which is probably why my bag fills up way too fast.

You never had to heal but a single time? O.o
Everything does so much damage that I was healing quite regularly if I didn't wanna trek back to camp. But all the items to lure or help catch Pokmon, nah. I even read on a guide that it's nearly impossible to sneak up on a Zorua, meanwhile I had done it already 10 times in a row before it caught me lol. Idk maybe people aren't sneaking for some reason?

I throw oran berries like candy but other than that I don't use many items

I only just tried to throw some mud balls for the first time for a Magmar task and they didn't even stun it. So that seems useless.

Got a shiny Teddiursa in an outbreak. :D

Absolutely.

I'm closing in on Dex completion anyway. Got like 6 left to get. Then it's the ending, Unowns, getting my team to level 100 and getting the dex to level 10.

I released a tonne of Pokmon and got 60 grit rocks. Might actually up a few of my mons to 10s in most stats. The jump from 9 to 10 seems significant.

I guess I should do that. I have so much detritus. It'd be nice to have perfect stats for my team as well as them all being lvl 100.

Anyway I just played this for like 12 hours straight, but I've got the vast majority to level 10 in the dex, almost all requests done, Pokedex complete. I'll do Giratina, Shaymin, Enamorus, Darkrai, Arceus, Unowns, poems and the level 100 grind tomorrow.

ugh I can't get Darkrai. Wish they hid Shaymin behind BDSP save data instead.

Is there a point to collecting all the poems aside from lore?

Don't think so, apart from they maybe become better dig spots afterwards maybe? But I want to see the game all the way through now. Well, pretty much - I'm not doing the research tasks for the entire dex, that's insanity

I didn't use a water mon this game, but are there any good special water attacks? the best Basculegion gets is Water Pulse, which is pretty shit

I guess lots probably get Hydro Pump, but I miss Scald

Movepools definitely took a hit in this game. For some Pokemon, it's like being back to the pre-physical/special split days. Like Overqwil having to rely on Dark Pulse as its only Dark attack, despite that shitty base 65 Sp. Attack stat.

I found it weird that there were 94 requests tbh. My hope would be for distortion world DLC! Might be asking a lot though.

The island with Stark Mountain isn't represented on the Hisui map, so maybe some DLC there?

Found two rifts so far while exploring the highlands and already have four Shieldon and two Cranidos. And then when the second rift disappeared I found myself next a level 74 Alpha Rhyperior.
