So is there any incentive to getting a Perfect Pokdex entry?

I think its kinda dumb that the game marks it complete after only encountering a mon less than 5 times.

I read that completing it increases shiny odds for that species but I'm not 100% sure on that

Heads up, theres a bug with Cherrim right now, if it is in its daytime form it is literally impossible to catch

Alright, Outbreaks are no joke, I just found 2 shiny gibles within 5 minutes

I got a shiny Bergmite from an outbreak and didn't realize til the next day haha

It's a shame Garchomp's shiny is kind of lame, Gible and Gabite look great as shiny.

Wooo! Evolved my Stantler before meeting Kleavor. That was a fun grind.

Damn satchel space. Managed to climb up somewhere high filled with Luxrays and I had to drop some stuff to make room for the rarer goodies. Also caught a level 23 Wormadam, lol.

Now I'm really far away from where I'm supposed to be. Saw a Togekiss, though. That was cool.

I saw a couple Eevees really early but they got spooked from really far away. I put a star on the map, but they haven't respawned. I'm guessing I got both lucky and unlucky?

They are there maybe...30% of the time for me?

But not consistent spawns when that 30% rolls.

I was glad there is also a moss rock in the first area.

Only Eevee inaccessible to me is Glaceon so far via evolution.

Hyper Beam change is probably one of my favorite move changes so far. I actually use it on my Jolteon now because of the no recharge time!

I don't like the drop in power, but it absolutely has the appearance and feel of power, so that works for me

Plus I use it on my P-Z so it's basically the same

I assume I'm getting something to climb or fly at some point but...I thought in the 3rd zone I'd found an unconquerable hill at this Turnback Cave marker.

But just as I was about to declare it unconquerable I conquered it.

Turns out flicking the stick also works to scale mountains while mounted.

The cave is empty, there is nothing in the lake and just some general collectable up on the hill. But I made it damn it.

Entering a cave, even an empty one, despawns a distortion. That is unfortunate.

Damn you Munchlax, spawn already

So I have to reach 5 star rank in order to catch that damn alpha Roserade which I want it for my team.

Took about five times of running back there from the camp, but I got another one to spawn and caught it. And with the Water Stone I found while exploring Luxray country, I now have a Vaporeon!

I scared away a Chimchar and it respawned as a Zubat. Normally I think to save when I see something that might be rare, but I forgot this time. :(

Also I love I managed to walk up some cliff wall and immediately a couple level 40 Machokes ran up to me and started flexing. The best part is I was able to maneuver behind each of them and catch them in Heavy Balls. It was weird though, because a little later another Machoke did aggro me.

I was lucky to catch the first Chimchar and Munchlax I saw. Haven't seen them spawn since.

They could have made new forms for Rotom, based on period-appropriate items for him to possess. Like those yokai that are a possessed sandal, umbrella, etc

Caught a Monferno instead. That works too!

I almost walked right past it because I thought its fire was another torch along the path.

Speaking of, how the hell is Porygon around during this time period?

I've figured out that my two favorite things to do in this game are things it definitely doesn't want you to:

• Catch alphas that are so overleveled, they disobey me in battles
• Climb up ledges with the first mount that I assume are supposed to be climbed using some other mount later in the game, to get to other alphas I'm not supposed to catch, but will try to anyway.

Afaik, Pory only appears in time rifts, which does make sense

Yeah I've sank most of my free time into since it came out which is why I'm surprised how far he is!

I believe I've caught at least one of every base Pokemon I can find in Obsidian Fieldlands for now (meaning without surf/fly or in rifts). Happiny was the last one. Well, except the Alpha Heracross.

I guess it's time to go see what Kleavor's up to.

Managed to defeat Noble Avalugg in first attempt but holy shit, its homing ice balls attack is fast AF once its low on HP and not easy to time the dodging. Almost died. Current party right now.

Will need to catch more new Pokemon to increase my star rank.

Turn left right at the start of the first zone and then head straight. Most common spawn is just before and a bit to the right of the Alpha Rapidash. Theres a few more spawns to the right of that.

I've seen one taking a hard right on map 3 as well.

Yeah the spots are just east of the initial base camp.

Poke Balls are the standard spots it has a chance to spawn in, star is where a mass outbreak would be if it happens, and the swirly is a potential rift spot. Serebii lists the standard encounter rates as between 8-16%.

I wonder if I will be ****** enough to complete every research task for each Pokemon

yup, haha. I'm over 50 hours already. Helped that I had four of the five days off, though - it'll slow down starting today.

Oh nice, looks like this game fixed stone evolutions by giving them all proper level up learnsets. I purposely used my first Thunderstone on Jolteon instead of Raichu, because I wasn't sure if Raichu would be able to learn anything new if I evolved it right away. But it does! They all do!
