Would need to see more Maul in any capacity, now that Boba Fett has been around again and has had a lot of attention. It wouldn't surprise me if Maul had under 15 minutes of screen time in Phantom Menace. Granted, this isn't taking Clone Wars the animated series into consideration.

Man the fandom around Fett is so weird, he was basically a throw away character with incredibly minor screentime yet developed such a huge fan base for some reason.

Both were cool and then brought back in contrived ways.

It would've been better if Maul survived ep 1 and continued to be an antagonist throughout the prequels while serving as a foil for how Obi and Anakin handled Qui Gon's death. Like maybe Obi Wan bests him and refuses to kill him and then Anakin beheads him like he did to Dooku.

Let's see one guy dies literally on accident and the other one dies fighting two Jedi.

The moment Disney tried to make Boba Fett into their version of Lethal Protector such as taking in homeless kids under his wing, I knew the character was done for. I'm sick of these self righteous forced inclusion that Disney is pushing. If they kept Boba Fett true to it's character (ruthless bounty hunter) instead of some old man with a guilt complex, he would have been more respected by fans.

Theyre both very influential. I think Boba Fett takes the cake though. The armor. The profession. Maul sort of (sort of) helped bring the whole Sith warrior thing into the attention of the mainstream, but he himself wasn't too too impactful outside of that amazing double-bladed lightsaber. You could argue that he introduced a new species to Star Wars and some of his imagery got recycled into really memorable characters, but Maul's whole shtick is karate and tattoos. Meanwhile, the very idea of Boba Fett has been a lasting highlight.

Incidentally, Fett was created as a sort of super stormtrooper, and someone told George that there wasn't a budget for making a hundred of those outfits.
Then, it was painted green.

With my wide breadth of knowledge on all things Star Wars (I saw all 9 movies and played some of the video games when I was 14), Darth Maul would win.

This is because Darth Maul looks cooler than Boba Fett, who is a punk bitch.

Darth Maul is one of the small handful of Star Wars characters that I actually like.

Maul held off two Jedi and killed one of them.

Fett was killed by a blind man and a desert sand anus.

Maul and it isn't even close. The Clone Wars made almost every major character that appeared in it better, but probably none moreso than Maul. That show did a lot for his character.
