And by kid, I mean anywhere from grade school to high school.

I'd like to make a good one.

If I make a good one, adults will watch it.

If adults watch it, they will make porn out of it.

So it may as well be adults in the porn.

on one hand, if you were good at what you did, your work would likely be more memorable if it was targeted towards kids/teens, since you would give them an enjoyable, quality product during their formative years.

but on the other, as an adult, adult related themes resonate more with me, and I feel like I would rather connect more with people at a similar stage in life with me.

so, probably the latter.

Adults are far easier for adults to write believably. Child characters make me cringe.

I will be the lack of cringe I wish to see in the world.

Youre getting paid for whichever one you choose, but the point is which one do you find more appealing.

Aight, Ill write because directing cartoon characters seems like a pain since they break all the laws of physics, science, and pooping and Ill choose to write for an adult show because as an adult myself I think Ive got some shit to say that will resonate with the masses

Kids. More specifically teens. I just feel like my sense of humor (because anything I'd write would be at least a little comedic in nature) would be appreciated more by teenagers than adults.

If I were to write a story for a cartoon show and had the skills to pull it off, I'd have an adult as a protagonist, but have the MC as a teacher managing kids. School of Rock comes to mind now that I've typed this out. But I'd go this route because I enjoy mentorship in stories and the idea of being responsible for others' well being even if you're not obligated as though you're a parent.

I'd like to make an "adult" cartoon that kids can still watch and get value out of. I'm so tired of most adult cartoons feeling the need to be overtly edgy and explicit. I want more shows like King of the Hill.

I'd rather write about kids, because they lend themselves to wacky adventures more naturally. Adults are boring. And when they're not boring, they act like kids anyway (Homer Simpson, Johnny Bravo, Spongebob, etc.)
