That much money would solve, or at least enable me to seek solutions for, my problems right now. It wouldn't be a permanent fix, nor would it prevent future problems.

It would solve all my current problems but definitely create new ones too. I'd try to receive it anonymously and then dip for like 6 months to let things settle down.

Where's that Reddit post that starts like, "So you've won the lottery. Congrats! Now you're fucked."

I think it would because I wouldn't really change my lifestyle very much. Just removing the need to work every day would be a massive QoL improvement even without lifestyle changes.

Maybe not all. But most yes.

The problems of being poor are worse than the problems of being rich.

Also, for large lotteries you basically can't receive anonymously.

Not all of them but it would solve most of them!

And I suppose I could fund research in to solving my main health issue.

Isnt COVID currently a problem for literally everyone? Global warming? I dont think it can solve those.

But every problem in my personal day to day life could be solved by even a modest powerball jackpot, sure

No, but it certainly can mitigate the effects. Not having to work or pursue work for an income can certainly reduce the chances of COVID exposure if you aren't WFH, and also allow you to pay the premiums to have Instacart shoppers do your grocery shopping full time. Having a small fortune also means you can leave your home city if it is threatened by freak weather events exacerbated by climate change, like Ted Cruz just opting to fly to Cancun while his city freezes.

Youre looking at it myopically. Even if the money allows you personally to never get COVID or live in an area negatively affected by climate change, the global social ecosystem within which you operate is still enormously affected, which makes it a problem that affects you

The only problem of mine it would address is letting me put off my job search past graduation (which if anything might be bad because then I'd need to explain an employment gap)

Simultaneously capitalism-poisoned but without an entrepreneurial mindset.

Not only do you not need to worry about getting hired as a millionaire, but with the jackpot you could literally buy, hire, or start your own company.

Why would I want to start my own company? Sounds like a ton of work if I'm already rich

I would just want something to do with my time so I'm not bored

Rich people tend to fund projects with their money. If you have an idea that you'd like to try out, then winning the Powerball jackpot would provide the money to pursue that idea.
