Of the small number I've met in my life there was one who fit this description perfectly. Like I'll never forget the day he went on a 10 minute rant about how our company (he was a coworker) was disrespecting him because the automated telephone system we had to call for tech problems started with "Dial 1 for English, Dial 2 for French". Of course, not all of them are like that, I've known some Quebecois people who were very nice, but I've been to Quebec multiple times, and if you don't speak French or if you have Ontario license plates, you'll get at least a few people who will be ill-disposed towards you. I knew a guy who went on vacation to Cuba, and they ran into some Quebecois people there who wouldn't give him the time of day, until he started speaking in French to them and then suddenly they became rather friendly. His French was certainly not perfect, but I think they just appreciated the effort to speak to them in their first language. --- "I'm the straightest guy on this board.
