I tried new abyss last night.

Floor 11: 3-3-1
Floor 12: DNF-?-?

Sounds like I need to figure out how to fight the Thunder Manifestation quickly now, as my old strategy was to just shield up with Diona/Zhongli and shoot it to death. Also, I need to play through Enkanomiya so I can see this fire lector because yikes, that first try did not work at all.

I hear Water is good for it, but Xing is my only built water character

I didn't bring water because the very next chamber is an abyss herald.

How generous of RNGesus to bless me with both Ganyu and Mona :)

EDIT: Also, maybe because it's bosses I've never fought/haven't fought in a while, but it sure felt like there were a lot of them.

There are bosses everywhere in this version of the abyss.

Its funny how much random stuff is locked behind Story Quests because you havent met the characters involved yet, but it let me do the whole Jade Chamber rebuilding quest before I had actually seen Beidou in the story at all

The only place Beidou appears in the story is on the quest to Inazuma.

Noelle is left out too. Quit neglecting top tier waifus Mihoyo.

Yeah, Ive gotten past that part now, but in the Interlude quest I believe Paimon outright said that we already know Beidou when she showed up, even though we didnt

Won a Windtrace the other day with 1-2 seconds left. Havent gotten a single artifact worth anything for Xiangling yet. I seriously cannot say enough how much artifact grinding is the absolute worst. Its the worst part of having any character and worst part of getting any new characters. Its so bad it almost makes me not want to pull any news ones because then I know its back to artifact grind hell for weeks to get even 1-2 halfway decent pieces :(

Finished getting max coins and completing all the Windtrace challenges this morning. I don't hate it, but I wish the connections were better. My last two games, I apparently got beaten to the favor by the hunter, who then ran me down and captured me, then on two separate occasions, I couldn't catch a Kokimi player despite being right beside her. Called it quits after that.

I havent had any issues, but I play connected to LAN on my PS5. So do we know who is supposed to be on the Ganyu/Zhongli rerun banners? My Xiangling and Noelle still arent C6 yet :/

Also I wish they would redesign some of these characters gameplay wise. Saras design is too good to have a kit this weird. Shouldve made her use a different weapon. Xinyan also needs to be redone because theres just no purpose to putting her in a team.

I think Sara is fine....if you have her at C2

I just dislike her being an archer mostly. Mine is at least C2 of not higher. Not sure what shes at, but shes a top tier character design for me so Id like to build her somehow. I dont have Raiden though and have no idea who else she works with

Hmm if the image I saw is real it seems like Xiangling, Noelle and Xingqiu will be the 4*s on the Zhongli/Ganyu rerun? I dont really want to pull, but my Noelle only needs 1 C and Xiangling needs 2 (1 if I buy a copy in the shop, but that seems like kind of a waste for a common character)

They announced the banners during the livestream for the current patch. It was noteworthy because they didn't just give the first half banners.

It's Xingqiu, Beidou, and Yanfei.

Oh. I guess I should be relieved thats way less tempting to summon on for me even though I dont have Yanfei. My Xing is C6 and Beidou is C5

Are there any 5* artifacts its safe to just get rid of? Like ones no character in the game uses at all or ones with stats no character needs? My artifacts are at max again, but Ive been hoarding because you never know who might need what. Surely I can trash a bunch that arent just loaded on flat & percent HP/DEF though. Ive even exchanged some and only gotten trash back in return lol

I would trash anything that has at least 2 undesirable subs. I would trash anything that is HP or DEF main with subs for the opposite. I would be especially choosy about what you keep for flowers and feathers. I would mostly only keep elemental damage goblets (though don't completely trash the ATK cups.) I would consider that every single DEF-scaling character in the game is geo, and consider that most sets are not good for those characters. I would also consider that only one HP-scaling character is offensive in nature and the rest are support.

Finally, I would consider that you have the chance to grind up all your artifacts you're never going to use into Noblesse and possibly find actual use out of them.

I would also not trash anything that has an EM main stat

Does any character use the Wandering Troupe set still? I feel like the newer artifacts replaced a lot of those general boss reward ones on characters.

Yanfei can use them, absolutely, maybe potentially Yae Miko?

I dont even have her still so I guess I can save them for just in case. Gonna take me a long ass time to browse through like 1,450 5* artifacts >__>

I've been so bad at letting my resin cap for weeks now because my main to-do is grinding artifacts. I cannot get good crit rate and damage goblets from EoSF for the life of me, and I've got three characters who badly need them. It's just very demoralizing. I guess I should be running ley lines at least.

On the bright side I did finally complete an EM VV set for Sucrose! By which I mean after weeks of grinding I got 4 EM drops from the domain and three of them were the same slot because of course they were. Obviously glad to hold on to them, but besides Traveler (who I'm building Ge I do not have another Anemo, let alone two.

Oh man I got 9*s for Floors 9-11 for the first time ever I believe. I just need to beat floor 12 and hopefully get 9 there somehow too, but of course they put all the annoying shit there. The Maguu feel like they just never die >_>

For goblet and circlet, yes, because they're ultra-rare.

HDT: I've been farming EoSF for months, with short breaks. Basically since the domain released. I have enough pieces to equip to 3 or 4 characters, but a lot of them are pretty bad. And I don't have a decent EM VV set, so you've got me beat there.

Re: Floors 9-11, I don't think I'll be 3-starring 11-3 unless I make a team specifically to fight the manifestation.

I think my team for 11-3 that involved the Thunder Manifestation was Ganyu, Yoimiya, uhh I forget the other two. Is there a way to check what I cleared it with? >_>

I still have a massive amount of fragile resin to burn. Maybe I should do that to build characters faster at least as far as talents and ascensions go, maybe weapons too. Artifacts will still get attention, but at least the others are only RNG for amount dropped for the most part.

Only thing I would tell you not to do with fragile resin is spend it before AR45. Any goal you have for character progression is a good one.

I made some progress with characters at least. Xingqius burst and skill both at lv11. Beidous attack, burst and skill at like 8/10/11 or something I forget. Got Ventis burst and skill up to 8 along with Fischls at lv11 and I ascended Keqing up to 80. Working on Childe up to 80 too because he might be useful. Got Sayu up to 8 or higher for her 3 talents. Tomorrow Ill do whatever stuff isnt open today.

Got enough talent books to get Ittos AA to 9, Shenhes Skill and Burst to 9, and Yunjins Skill and Burst to 8. Just need a buuuunch of boss drops so thats going to take awhile.

In the meantime, I will farm for mora books til I reach 10 mil (up to 4.4 mil right now). And back to my usual daily artifact and ores farming runs. Once I hit 10 mil, Ill transition to farming artifact domains to get my characters all +20s. Thats my road map for probably the next month.

Should I go with Crit Dmg circlet instead of Atk?

Not unless she's main dps...her whole thing is transferring a buff based on her atk. Her other stats are marginally irrelevant (besides maybe ER?)

Nah, not main DPS. I'll stick with all Atk build.

I beat Floor 12, but got 0 stars. Holy fucking shit every boss takes FOREVER to die. This feels like you need all the best shit to even have a chance of 9*. I won with literally 2-3 seconds left.

I didnt have the most ideal groups since I was unsure what to use, but I couldnt believe how long it took my Eula to kill the damn Geovishap or even the stupid construction robots I forget the name of that are part of the boss fight underground they through into the Abyss. Ill probably retry for some stars, but man it feels like you need constant 100k attacks to finish in a time fast enough for stars >_>

Mechanical Array can summon its minions a 2nd time if you don't kill it quick enough.

I beat Raiden Shogun. I know there's a bunch of grinding to do, but it seems that as far as Main Story Quests go, I'm caught up.

Apparently I need to grind Dailies to unlock sidequests now...
