That was just an awful chase scene and really showed the limits of their budget

The mandalorian episodes with Boba were cheesy af, is this show also goofy fanservice?

Holy shit, I didn't think Disney Star Wars could get any worse but those edgy cyborg teens with attitude may be the single-most insulting thing Disney has ever done to Star Wars.

I was also expecting that black Wookiee to join Boba's party after he spared him and set him free, but I guess he just runs off into the desert for no fucking reason.

At least seeing Danny Trejo was neat.

The main problem for me is how much time they're devoting to flashbacks. None of the Tusken stuff even really matters since we already know what happens after that. He finds Fennec in the desert, saves her life, and chases after the Mandalorian to get his armor back. Then Boba helps him with his quest and returns to Tatooine to take over. I don't get why they felt the need to even spend more than half of the first two episodes on all this Tusken nonsense.

lol, that chase was hilariously bad. but in a way that i'm still not sure if i'm laughing at it or not. it was like 90 trope in 90 seconds.

this is definitely the kind of episode that makes me understand why other people don't like a show, even if i'm still having fun watching.

Check her out in Yellowjackets as a 90s punk chick with an American accent...

Those Cyberpunk kids stood out way too much... And did NOT feel like anything from Star Wars or that they belong in anything Star Wars. And what's up with their Power Ranger color coordinated bikes?

Also, why is Boba Fett all of a sudden a good guy Hero now? Having a tremendous soft spot for a rancor and being all goofy...

Sigh. I thought Disney couldn't ruin Star Wars anymore than they already have. How low are they going to take it?

Especially that fight with the black wookie. Book of Boba Fett might pan out to be a more action-driven show than what many Star Wars fans are accustomed to these days. I'd be happy if they kept the formula going around 1 vehicle battle and 1 duel roughly each episode.

This. I liked Boba in the Mandalorian. Seemed vicious, no holds barred, do anything to get what he he wants type. Him taking over Jabba's place was ruthless too.

Now he's just kind of there. I like that they're showing a kinder side to him, but it mostly makes him seem pretty helpless and a little spineless even.

Then, that chase scene was just awful. I literally just finished watching it and that was something is expect to see from Spy Kids. The whole scene was just bad, and went on for quite a while. Those bikes looked slow as heck. Should've saved some budget and just had Shand snipe his car from the roof or something.

Mos Espa is a large city yes, but it doesn't have a lot of open space. Need room to build up speed.

Loved it.

Im also taking this in as a stand alone "Space Western". I know Boba seems out of character compared to movies, but I'm just enjoying the show for what it is. I also appreciate the little bits of fan service thrown around.

The chase scene kept making me laugh though since it seemed like the purpose was just to show different types of droids.

I guess they thought it's better than implying that "actual living beings" are in danger from this chase. What was it, a protocol droid, the cart-pulling droid, and a podracing pit droid? Justice for droids.

The bikers looked like they should be in Back to the Future 2. But I don't mind Boba's characterization so far. I think he's going to get more ruthless again as the show goes on since the way he's doing thing's isn't working so far.

The more I think about it, the more I agree with depicting Boba Fett as a bit of a failure. That's how it was in Empire & Jedi, tbh. Guy looks cool, but he's a total disgrace to the Mandalorians.

He's not a Mandalorian.

I think the official Canon story now is that Jango Fett was a foundling. Taken in by a Mandalorian and was given the armor. Similar to the main character in the Mandalorian show.

But he is not Mandalorian by blood. And as far as I know , he didn't really consider himself to be one. At least that's what I have read.

I think the episode was pretty good up till the chase. I was not expecting Krrsantan to come in that hard like that.

Him running off into the sunset was weird and hilarious. Also, I feel like they're playing the Hutts off like they're tricking Fett, but I think they genuinely think fighting is bad for business and are gone.

The biker gang seems so out of place. I feel like they could have done a little better job with costume design. Feels like they lifted them straight from some British dance club.

That little guy that went flat, one of those were one of the more memorable one-episode Republican droids in the Clone Wars show

The gang he recruited is very visually out of place. Everything about them is clean and polished. Their clothes, their bikes, their hair. They're on tatooine, a desert wasteland, and they look like they just walked out of Hot Topic. And it's not like they just rolled into town, they're an established group according to the man at the beginning of the episode.

I don't mind the droid body parts and whatnot, but how can they complain about water prices when they also have very expensive equipment/body modifications (which one of them says they paid a lot for).

Wasn't their beef that the local merchants were ripping them off?

Im really not feeling the show so far, but Im not ready to give up on it. I just dont understand the character building I feel like Boba Fett & crew get into fights, Boba tends to get beat up while those working for him take control of things, and then Boba Fett rejoins them with a feel of Well, we showed them, didnt we?

Also, hes a crime lord of an area he doesnt seem to know and without a crew. He literally hired a bunch of children to make up over 50% of his cartel.

I dont understand what this show is supposed to be.

like, boba fett is supposed to be some sort of benevolent crime boss now, but he doesnt even actually do anything but walk around occasionally, and also he appears to be doing this with a team of like four people (well plus some teenagers who reluctantly joined him then were immediately super loyal to the point of fighting a Wookiee for him?)

theyre not doing a good job establishing what exactly his motivations are, what he does, why he has power, etc

i feel like the people who are liking this are just getting excited by the fanservice and all the pointless Easter eggs and nonsensical connections to the greater Star Wars universe; this is not quality television

I liked the second episode a lot. This one sucked. Also there was a shot of the back of the guy's head in the chase scene that looked like a butt

Apparently Temuera Morrison and Ming-Na Wen weren't exactly pleased with what they did with the Tuskens and the punk teens either.

I like the look of the teens and their bikes. Feels very "edgy kids who wish they lived in the Core"
