For a comedy even. Or I guess a dramady but its leaning heavily on the comedy part. Buts its really great and very funny

Leo gives one of his best performances ever, J Law jumps completely into a brand new character, and Meryl Streep and Jonah Hill kill it, as always.

the only people who are getting mad about it are too sensitive about the political content lol

I enjoyed it. It does go really hard on the message and can be a little overly silly at times but it's really fun. I had also kinda given up on Jennifer Lawrence but she was great in this. Mark Rylance was also so good... I hated him so much.

Great movie. One of the better comedies I've seen in a long time. I think it's the same writer/director as that movie Step Brothers. And yeah I'm sure the people who hate it most are Trump supporters who are just smart enough to realize the parallels between their stupid bullshit and the "Don't Look Up" people in the movie.

It was pretty meh. Boring at times IMO (I skipped sections of the movie), and I couldn't stop starting at the awful haircut the girl in the movie had.

yeah I do agree on this, it could have been edited down by 15 mins and have had any number of sub plots completely cut if they really wanted to. But I guess Adam McKay just went all hands in and Netflix let him

the movie wasn't even making fun of just trump supporters, plenty of neolibs also don't care about climate change (or they say they care, like the president/others in the movie, but then don't do anything about it). i think putting it all on trump supporters removes half the message of the movie.

Good movie but man did I hate the tech guys voice. Surely that actor doesn't sound like that normally so it's a weird choice.

Dude... they even had trucker hats with the stupid slogan on it. It was making fun of MAGA hats/Trumpists primarily, but yeah it could be any head-up-ass sycophants it's making fun of. I think there were a couple scenes that might have been poking fun at socialists as well.

Yeah while there are a lot of jokes about Trump in it, the movie does a great deal to make fun of all sides. Jennifer Lawrences bad haircut was there on purpose.

And even Leo is poking fun at himself here. He did this in Once Upon a time in Hollywood as well. Hes usually always so serious lol

yes obviously there were trump jokes. obviously. in no way did i refute that. what i was saying is that to think the movie is criticizing only that demographic is ignoring the actual point of the movie, which is that both majority parties in the united states are ignoring climate change.

I didn't really like the movie, thought it dragged on for way too long. The climate change satire would have been funnier if it was subtle, but it was so blunt it was like getting hit with a hammer and insulting my intelligence. I think this movie could have been accomplished with a 6-minute SNL sketch or something. Expected more from McKay.

Though I did really like Leo's performance; seemed most of the other Oscar-winning actors/actresses didn't have much to work with.

I feel like you cant really be too blunt about climate change given that people are ignoring it regardless.

The entire COVID fiasco should demonstrate that most governments are only interested in pretending to deal with crises, and are not willing to resort to the drastic measures that would be required to exert real change.
