Eternal felt less "hallway-arena-hallway" to me, as well as me liking the soundtrack more. Eternal wins, but both games are great.

Hated 2016 and I'll never touch Eternal

I liked 2016 more for the design.

Like Eternal is objectively better gameplay but the look and level design feels so 2002.

Thats because theyre not that great.

Theyre better than most fps but even the best the genre has to offer is meh

I also played Doom 2016 without finishing it. Don't know why, but just kinda lost interest. Might need to try again.

I mean more in terms of "find your next weapon floating in the air in front of you" and the UI, that sort of thing.

I didn't play enough Eternal to critique the levels themselves.
