If you're playing Brilliant Diamond then you can get one in the grand underground as well. I don't think that is affected by the day/night cycle.

Bulbapedia only mentions Eterna Forest and Lost Tower.

Diamond actually started my disdain for day/night cycles in games, especially based on real time. I was in high school with a job at the time so I mostly only got to play late which made it night in game, so the game was always dim and gloomy when I played.

Serebii lists it in 5 (3 small, 2 big) of the hideaways. The small rocky place, small grassy place, small half grass/half water, large grass, and large half grass/half water.

Yeah, you get access to the underground in Eterna City (I think in the building next to the pokemon center if I remember correctly).

Move Relearning better work like it does in Sword and Shield, because I am obviously gonna need it.

Edit: Or TMs depending when I get some decent Poison and Grass ones. At the very least he is going to remain a Budew for many levels I suppose.

It's an option, but then you have to change it again when you want to access a different time of day, which just gets kind of tedious. It's one thing with a game like Animal Crossing, where it's meant to be a parallel life of sorts (and the real-time windows for doing stuff tend to be relatively wide, plus there are measures like the Night Owl ordinance that can help adjust it to work better with a schedule), but for a game like Pokemon where real-time day/night cycles are mostly just a gimmick, it's an unnecessary inconvenience.

Generally speaking, day/night systems should cycle relatively quickly and/or have an easily accessible option in-game to manually change the time. Having to save, shut down the game, go into the system settings, and adjust the system clock in there really isn't a reasonable workaround when the problem doesn't even have to exist in the first place. That's just a hassle, even without considering that it's going to affect any other games you're playing that rely on the system clock.

Murkrow has an insanely low catch rate. I had a harder time catching it than any of the legendaries.

It seemed decent, reloaded several times just to guarantee the ability I wanted, never failed to catch it on a try.

I'm not sure why my luck was so bad, hahaha. I caught it in the Grand Underground and it was a higher level than any of my Pokemon at the time. Maybe that's what made it tough.

I just hope "Explore Hearthome City" does not mean "Win a Contest"...

Also wondering what level my Budew will be once it finally evolves...

This is it. There was a new mechanic introduced since Sword & Shield (I think) that drastically reduces the catch rate of Pokemon that are at a higher level than your team.

Wow, Budew is actually quite tanky, I can only imagine how amazing it could be, if it actually had a Grass and a Poison damaging move...
Right now it has just a Psychic one.

Roselia at level 31, only 14 levels more for a damaging Grass move, amazing.

Wait, I think I am in the city with the big mart, it should have TMs right?

Solar Beam and no Poison TMs? No, game, just no...

Thought I would do some training first before trying again, and now the puzzles reset, definitely finding something else to do in game first just to guarantee a few more levels.

More "Brilliant" game design. So I reach this place I immediately get expelled from, Bulbapedia tells me it is a place for Double Battles, but all the Pokmon there are below my level. So I get here late as per the leveling curve and then still cannot do it?

And the Pressing B on evolution has started, time to find some stones...

Cancelling evolutions is getting tiresome, but I should have access to some Stones soon...

I heard that it was bad in sword and shield. But I dont think it was as bad in these games

Got all stones in time. Both Dusk and Dawn are available relatively early from the underground. Shiny was not, but I wanted Roselia to reach level 60 first anyway so that was fine.

Some of the gym leaders and Elite four have some weird Pokmon based on the types they are suppose to have. And some of the trainers in the gym, as well

That too, but I mainly meant things like Gardenia's Rematch team being entirely build around Solarbeam.

Also, Maylene is surprise, surprise, the one gym leader that is giving me issues, again...

That's enough for today, got all Rematches in one or two attempts, except Fighting, that's still kicking my ass even after getting some levels from the other Gyms.

I am not the type that makes competitive teams, just have fun with the single player experience.

My team is probably horribly under-optimized.
