I was never a fan of the original formula, but I've heard they've become more like WRPGs as time went on and I'm curious if the recent ones are good at feeling all progression-y and number-y.

Origins went full RPG so any one after that should work

You literally can't assassinate people anymore without grinding up your level

Well, Valhalla has a skill perk where if you try to assassinate a high-level enemy, you have to do a QTE that varies in difficulty depending on their level. I've found it's a nice compromise.

Odyssey > Valhalla > Origins, but all of them are decent.

Odyssey has an accessibility option to just turn old style assassination back on, I assumed the others did too.
