I remember there was a guy here who argued that the correct pronunciation of words is how the general population says them, regardless of if it was actually correct. Like he claimed that even though kamikaze is supposed to be pronounced "ka-mee-ka-zeh", the correct way is "ka-muh-ka-zee" because Americans say it like that.

Or that if someone named their baby Joe but intended for it to be pronounced "Joey", the parents would be wrong and it would be pronounced Joe. He would literally tell someone that they're saying their own kid's name wrong lol

I still remember to this day I was in high school, in the computer lab, screwing around in class, and my teacher who was at least 40 years old (this is is about 15 years ago) shouts at me to get off Game Faxs.

Gamefax, been saying it that way since 2001 when I created my first account. I remember my mom coming in and seeing the screen and saying "WHY ARE YOU LOOKING AT A SITE CALLED GAME***s!?"
