I started queuing two hours ago at position 2700. Login server crashed on me at 1800. Rejoined at position 6800. Crashed at 5000. Rejoined at 5500. Now down to 1600 but it seems to have started moving a little faster

So here's a question, if I'm trying to level Reaper to 80, does it make more sense to hold onto my daily roulettes until I'm closer to 80 that way the roulettes are worth more EXP and help me over the hurdle?

They reset in 40 minutes so you should at least get the leveling roulette done now.

Surely they have to call it as 'enough is enough' at SOME point. I don't think that point is necessarily the next or even the one after the next expansion but its gotta be getting at least semi-close.

I predict one more Magical and Phys ranged to balance it out.

It's a little hard to set up it's hotbar sight unseen, but I think it will be pretty straightforward once I can actually throw things at a dummy and figure out what turns into what.

I think it makes more sense to do Sharlaryan, then Thavanir. I did it the other way around and my impression is the other way would flow better.

I've still barely done the MSQ, I did two rounds of roulettes on Sage + beast tribes.

Should be good to mainline the MSQ the rest of the day though.

78 Reaper quest finished.

For those going full Bozja, the level 80 ability for Reaper and Sage does require you to finish the job quests.

I'm glad they seem to still be doing job quests for the new jobs going forward. I was kind of afraid we'd only get one or two quests for them.

Sage's plot is fairly good so far too though I've only done the 70 and 73 ones.

Is it just me or are teleport costs actually way lower overall after the patch? For all the ominous talk about price hikes, the only thing that actually seems to have gone up is moving between Othard and Eorzea, which is pretty manageable.

It's more a wider range of prices than anything. Costs over 1000 to get from Ul'dah to the Crystarium.

Very conveniently you can now set it to automatically use aetheryte tickets as well as setting a threshold price beyond which to use them. Imo it was never worth having to click through an extra prompt every teleport before, but now theyre a viable sink for old hunt currency!

i feel WoW has more diversity of mechanics though? a lot of jobs have very similar bases in this game, particularly the healers and tanks. but i never played WoW beyond casual so i could be wrong.

that said i am consistently impressed at how unique most jobs feel despite a lot of them following the same formula of "1 2 3 combo, press ogcds off cooldown, build gauge and spend"

i could see there being only 1 job per expansion from here on out though

The new RDM job gauge currency stores. It doesn't have to be used immediately after your combo. And Manafication grant exactly enough for a combo.

So if I got into a boss fight with full bars and 3 stacks, I should be able to do the RDM combo 4 times in a row??
